WWE Smackdown Preview (9/25) - Alexa Bliss vs. Lacey Evans; Otis vs. Miz and Morrison Clash of Champions Match Made
WWE Smackdown

After Lacey Evans lost to Nikki Cross on last week’s WWE Smackdown, she derided Alexa Bliss and uttered the Fiend’s name.

This sent Alexa into a trance-like state, and she casually got up and hit a Sister Abigail on Evans before calmly walking to the backstage area.

Since this is the type of thing Evans doesn’t let slide, they’ll face off tonight.

This should be an interesting match given how Evans is after her pound of flesh for last week’s attack, while Alexa will be searching for herself in this encounter.

It’ll be fun to see which Alexa will appear for the match. We think that if Nikki Cross is with her, it’ll be the good Alexa and she’ll switch to Fiend Alexa.

If she’s alone, the it’s Fiend Alexa all the way, and we’re excited to see how her character develops in this storyline.

Otis to face the Miz and John Morrison for the Money in the Bank contract at Clash of Champions

This may seem like a no-brainer given the set up last week, but it’s one that we’re looking forward to simply because there’s a fun dynamic between the three of them when they get together.

We expect Otis to work out a deal for a handicap match between him and Miz and Morrison for the MITB contract to avoid getting sued.

A tag match would be an interesting option, but Miz and Morrison aren’t that stupid. But since we said that, prepare for a Vince Russo swerve, bro.

Also, if they have a tag team match, they’ll be laying the groundwork for a Heavy Machinery breakup like they did with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, and we’d rather not see that.

In the end, we expect either a singles or handicap match to get the MITB contract into John Morrison’s hands.

Nothing against the Miz, but giving it to him would probably cause a revolt on par with last year’s Hell in a Cell debacle.

The man’s talented, but he’s simply not top tier material.

Neither is Otis, in our opinion, so that leaves Morrison. Though the question can be asked is he?

All three have the charisma and skills, so maybe this speaks more to WWE Creative’s handling of them than anything else?

It should be entertaining either way, but we’re prepared for a squirrely end to this one.

How do you think it’ll work out? And which Alexa Bliss will we see on tonight’s WWE Smackdown? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
