A year ago now, the Inner Circle was formed by Chris Jericho. He’s kept enrollment closed, and is frankly very picky about anyone who wants to join his group. However, MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) is the one person who has expressed interest, and he does fit right in.
He might secretly hate Jericho and want to overthrow him, and take the group for his own, but they had a musical number during steak dinner last week, so Jericho might trust him more than he should. This will be up to all of The Inner Circle however, and we get our answer tonight.
This town hall would be moderated by Tony & Dasha, with a single purpose: should MJF join the Inner Circle? Jericho & The Inner Circle would hit the ring early. Jake Hager was absent, as he was preparing for an MMA fight. MJF came alone, with Wardlow beat up after his match with Moxley.
The Town Hall Was Eventful
Luchasarus would ask the first question, directed at MJF. As a representative of dinosaurs and medieval historian, he unders the power of creating change over time, and the power of economics in a group. How would MJF help to build up and ensure The Inner Circle stays on top? MJF would put up a graph, saying that if MJF joins Inner Circle? He’d make profits skyrocket for this group. Graphs never lie, don’t forget that!
We’d have a question from Britt Baker, and it’d be directed at Jericho. She’d remind everyone that MJF has a terrible track record with friendships in AEW, and ask Jericho how that makes him feel. He’d say he’s not a dipshit like Cody, and has no plans to let MJF into his Inner Circle. If MJF joined and turned on them, they’d knock his teeth down his throat.
Peter Avalon would have the next question, but instead ask to join Inner Circle. They’d laugh at him, and respectfully decline. And then Eric Bischoff would show up!
He’d ask MJF, what can he do for the Inner Circle. MJF can give them… friendship. This gets boo’d. What can the Inner Circle do for him? He’s a total package, except not being a good team player, which the Inner Circle would teach him. Eric would finally remind MJF that Jericho is a Primadonna, and ask if he really wants to share the spotlight with him? MJF was getting annoyed at his treatment.
MJF Has A Question For Chris Jericho
For weeks now, MJF has been showering The Inner Circle with gifts, only to be treated like common garbage. He checks every single box that Inner Circle wants, and gave Jericho his best segment ever last week. What exactly hasn’t MJF done to be allowed to join the Inner Circle?
Jericho had a simple response: he hasn’t beaten Jericho. He’ll get a chance at Full Gear. MJF vs. Chris Jericho, one on one. If he wins, MJF is in the Inner Circle. MJF will do whatever it takes to win, and Jericho expects nothing less. Ortiz would step up and challenge MJF & Wardlow to a tag team match next week, saying he won’t even make it to Full Gear.
