At AEW Full Gear, we will see Jon Moxley take on a longtime friend once again. This is Eddie Kingston, who never quit in their last match. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley did quit. He quit on professional wrestling to go to WWE and be an entertainer. Moxley found the love of his life there, while turning his back on wrestling.
Meanwhile, Eddie Kingston kept on going. Wrestling would chew him up and spit him back out, to the point where he was considering retirement earlier this year. A match against Cody Rhodes brought him into AEW, and it was able to re-lit a fire under the ass of Eddie Kingston.
Now, he’s in the main event, and has a chance to settle an old debt in an ‘I Quit’ match. It’s been made official, and this week Moxley has a chance to respond to the comments made by Eddie Kingston after Dynamite went off the air last week.
Jon Moxley Wants His Friend Back
When Eddie Kingston signed with AEW, no one was happier than Moxley. He knew the grind that Kingston took to get here was not easy, it’s been an 18 year journey. Moxley loved the honesty and integrity of Kingston, and thought he would never change.
Now he doesn’t know who this man is. He’s a bitter, miserable, complainer. Moxley isn’t going to apologize for busting his ass on the road for thousands of days to give his family a better life than he could ever have, just because Kingston feels he sold out.
All these years, Moxley has had Kingstons back, and their first AEW match was special. He got to share the ring with a friend, but the aftermath was pathetic. Kingston didn’t tap, he was too busy passing out. A November 7th, Kingston will verbalize and quit. Moxley will get his friend back, or he will end this monster that took his place. If he doesn’t beat Moxley, he has no one else to blame.
This promo quickly shows why Jon Moxley is the peak of wrestling today. He’s been having the best year of his career both in the ring and on the microphone. Moxley keeps one upping himself, and we can expect an absolute war at Full Gear.
