CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with some spoilery goodness that’s full of a little of everything.
This is one of those episodes where we think it’s best to grab some comfort food, tissues, and definitely popcorn. Of course, having all three handy will be important.
We’re going to say our final goodbyes to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will honor her as only he can, and it’s going to be a ceremony we don’t want to miss.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) has jumped to conclusions about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but he’s also done his best to prove her conclusions right as best he can.
This is going to get him into some trouble and he’s going to be served a well-deserved reality check about their relationship.
On the plus side, there’s going to be some fun comedic moments as Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) called in Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) for reinforcements as they target Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman).
It looks like this is going to be a fun show.
Jack honors Dina
We’ve seen plenty of mini celebrations to Dina in stories and flashbacks over the last week as we’ve been led to this point, and now it’s Jack’s turn to bring it home.
While there is legitimate reason to wonder if this scene will fall flat with all of the anticipation built for it with the show’s penchant for trying to create perfect moment and superfluous dialogue.
Dina Mergeron was too much of an iconic character for anything less than a grand sendoff, so we’re hoping they strike the right balance and make it one to remember.
Kyle’s new reality
Summer has made a few assumptions about Kyle that appear to be truer than any of us expected, and she’s going to lay down the law to him.
It’ll come as a shock to him as he won’t be prepared for her to do such a thing, especially given that he’s the one that should be upset. Which CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect he’ll mention.
This should be an interesting exchange if just to see if they’ll create a rift too big for them to repair in the near future.
Question time
Kevin and Michael are an awesome duo, and when they come together they can overcome just about anything.
Except their mother.
Gloria is a master of many things, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect her to dodge her sons’ efforts to grill her with relative ease.
She’ll put on a clinic and avoidance and then play on their emotions so well that she could run for political office.
In the end, we doubt the brothers will learn anything except that they’ll need to search the house when she steps out, but we think she’ll be ahead of them on that, too.
