CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here and we have some fun spoilery goodies to share.
Nothing like some more Newman family drama to help us set our clocks and keep fueling Genoa City.
In this case, the perennial problem child, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be the topic of conversation once again between Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Normally, just Adam’s name causes strife, and while that may be the case here, CBS “The Young and the Restless” think the argument may to do with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan)’s injury.
It may have just happened, but news like this travels fast in Genoa City when it’s needed for the plot.
While the Newmans deal with their eternal struggle, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be dealing with another perennial problem — willful children.
At least, it’s CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers’ opinion that she’s going to be dealing with Summer Newman (Hunter King) about her eloping with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Adam does it again
Few people not named Abbott have the ability to cause Victor enough grief to last a lifetime, and those tend to be his children.
As with all parents, he’s had to deal with some willful children of his own, but Adam’s so much more.
While Victor’s managed to make peace with the others, every time he comes close to doing so with Adam, something goes awry.
This last time it was Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) thinking it was the best to usurp Adam from the Newman CEO position that he intended to hand over to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) when she was healthy.
That led to Adam’s power move, and then to the current situation.
Through it all, Nikki has been in Victor’s ear, trying to be helpful while telling him to jettison Adam. For all the times she’s said she’s understood, she really doesn’t.
And Victor’s just as bad when it comes to his own stubbornness, and we expect it to lead to fun argument between the two of them.
Phyllis didn’t take the news of Summer and Kyle’s elopement well, but she’s been in a good place lately, and we think she’ll managed to compose herself for the upcoming conflict.
But that composure will only last until Summer walks in and goes on the attack about Phyllis and Nick now accepting her being an adult.
It’s going to be a difficult conversation, but Phyllis has been a great mother figure and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect her to continue the trend.
On an added note, what are the odds this will be shown alongside Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) talking with Kyle about the same thing? Or maybe that’s too much to hope for.
Will Victor and Nikki figure things out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and check back with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
