At NXT Takeover 31, following the NXT Women’s Championship match where Io Shirai successfully defended against Candice LeRae, a former champion returned. This was Ember Moon, who is back in NXT to stay. Last week, she teamed with Rhea Ripley to get a tag team win in the main event, and tonight she has a sit down interview. We will learn what is next for Ember Moon.
Ember Moon Is Ready To Fight Back To The Top
It’s no secret that 2019 was not Ember Moon’s year. Spending a year on the shelf, she found out what Ember Moon is. When she got cleared, her first thought was ‘Ember Moon is NXT.’ Instead of being drafted to RAW or Smackdown, she wanted to come home to the best women’s division in the game today.
Ember Moon left NXT on top, but you don’t get a title shot based on what you did a few years ago. She needs to beat the new crop of talent, and Ember Moon is ready to wrestle every single woman on the roster to get back to her championship. Embers Law will lead her back to her title.
A List Of Potential Classics Involving The Former Champion
While Ember Moon has consistently failed in regards to being a compelling character, which played into her main roster failures, her in-ring work is second to none. By having her lean into this, and work through the insanely talented roster of NXT? She’ll become a popular star once again in no-time flat.
We can look forward to matches placing her against Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley, Shotzi Blackheart, Candice LeRae, Toni Storm and more on her way to Io Shirai. That climb can bring plenty of drama with ease, and make every single win feel important along the way. Moon isn’t that old, but the classic story of the weathered gunslinger taking on the next generation is a classic, and one that could be used here.
