The Road to Power Struggle continues at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, a day after the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship was in the marquee. November 2nd Road To Power Struggle Card
The marquee match sees Dangerous Tekkers make their V2 defense of the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship against two-thirds of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions and CHAOS members Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi.
Goto and Yoshi-Hashi have begun to perfect their GYW tag-team technique, yet they will need to find a counter for the form Dangerous Tekkers have shown since New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) returned from the COVID-19 (Coronavirus, 2019) delay.
The headline match features the Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) team of IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ Tetsuya Naito and Sanada against Bullet Club team of upcoming ‘Double Champion’ challenger Evil and Yujiro Takahashi.
On November 7, 2020, Evil receives a ‘Double Championship’ title match against Naito after defeating the champion during G1 Climax 30.
The fourth match sees the Golden Ace (Hiroshi Tanahashi/Kota Ibushi) and Tomoaki Honma face the Bullet Club team of “Switchblade” Jay White, Kenta, and Chase Owens.
Switchblade challenges Ibushi for his right to challenge for the ‘Double Championship’ at Wrestle Kingdom 15. White was able to defeat Ibushi during G1 Climax 30 to earn his right to make the challenge.
The third match features the LIJ trio of upcoming NEVER Openweight Champion challenger Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi, and Bushi against the Suzuki-Gun team of NEVER Opewneight Champion Minoru Suzuki and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions El Desperado/Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
Last night, Desperado/Kanemaru made a successful V1 defense of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship against Hiromi and Bushi. On November 7th at Power Struggle, Suzuki makes the V1 defense of his second reign with the NEVER Openweight Championship against Shingo, after the champion lost a G1 Climax 30 block match against his challenger and former champion.
The second match sees “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada and NJPW Noge Dojo Young Lion Yuya Uemura face the Empire contingent of Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay and Great-O-Khan.
Okada and O-Khan face each other at Power Struggle as Okada seeks revenge for the latter costing him his G1 Climax 30 match against his former close friend.
The opening matches sees NJPW Noge Dojo Young Lion Yota Tsuji face NJPW Los Angeles (LA) Dojo Young Lion Gabriel Kidd.
