Evolution PPV that showed off what the women of WWE could do with a whole PPV at their disposal was one of the best PPVs of 2018. It is surprising to all fans that we haven’t seen another PPV set up with the same focus. In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Sasha Banks went on to say
“It’s just something that I think was so incredible for the women and for the fans that I don’t understand why there hasn’t been a second one yet,”.
They’re missing some core member of the women’s roster for this
WWE top women wrestlers, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are both out of WWE. This could be one of the reasons why the Evolution PPV has not happened this year. As it seems like WWE focused their whole women’s wrestling behind these two wrestlers. Even though Bayley, Sasha Banks and Asuka are currently the top women in Smackdown and Raw. It is not the other members fault that they haven’t been pushed since the departure of Flair and Lynch.
As there are a lot of women wrestlers that just aren’t used on the roster and if they never feel like it’s going in the right direction, for example, breaking up the Iconics without a plan in place for them. A Evolution 2 PPV could bring more focus to the unused members of the roster. Then making a yearly event. To give the large roster a chance to shine in their own PPV. That shouldn’t take them away from other PPV’s in the future.
It should focus on their NXT and unused members of roster
If there is an Evolution 2 PPV, a focus on the NXT roster is needed. With them working on a smaller brand. These PPVs could show how great the women roster of NXT is putting over the younger talent. As they did the opposite with this when they brought Charlotte Flair to NXT. Her run as the NXT champion in NXT recently really hurt Rhea Ripley’s run. If NXT women were going to be part of Evolution, putting over both them and the currently underused talent on Raw and Smackdown. Going against the current top members of the women’s roster. Even though Flair and Lynch are out of WWE at the moment there is enough talent in the WWE women roster to run a yearly Evolution PPV.
