At Hell in a Cell, The Miz became Mr. Money in the Bank and is already making moves to cash in. However, he’s faced with some potential titans in Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and possibly even Drew McIntyre depending on Monday’s WWE Championship match. If he wants to avoid these dangerous psychopaths, he has another route he could take.
Finn Balor Returns To NXT On Wednesday
We haven’t seen Finn Balor since NXT Takeover 31, when he suffered a broken jaw during his now classic match with Kyle O’Reilly. That changes this Wednesday, as he comes back to address the situation of the NXT Championship. He should be able to return to the ring by the time another defense is needed, but it’s still up in the air at this time.
If he isn’t set to return to the ring just yet, The Miz cashing in the Money in the Bank contract would be a way to ensure the belt doesn’t go vacant for the second time this year. It would also help WWE break new ground, as the Money in the Bank contract has never been used for the NXT Championship before.
This Would Open Many Fresh Matches For The Miz
While The Miz has never been a workrate heavy wrestler like we’ve seen in NXT, he has a chance to be an NXT Champion in a similar vein to that of Bobby Roode. The Miz has proven to be able to work good matches with the right opponents, and men like Finn Balor, Johnny Gargano, Damien Priest and more could really bring out the best side of The Miz.
It would be a sink or swim moment for the veteran, as he proves he can hang in an NXT Takeover main event match. He’d have a much needed chance to reinvent himself, and even better, might take John Morrison with him, opening many potentially incredible matches if The Miz doesn’t bring them. Do you think we could see The Miz show up on NXT this week to cash in the Money in The Bank contract? Would it be a waste of the contract?
