Last week, Indi Hartwell was revealed as Candice LeRaes guardian angel. She’s the one who has been helping the Garganos under the scream mask for weeks now, which was obvious after she also bought them a new flat screen TV to replace the one Tegan Nox destroyed. They get some experience as a tag team tonight, as they face Team Ninja, the tandem of Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter.
Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell Take Control
Hartwell would get started with Carter, showing her size advantage easily. Carter would isolate her in Team Ninja corner, and quick tags in and out would keep Hartwell guessing, as two of the fastest in NXT picked her apart. A headscissors would send Hartwell into the corner to tag in LeRae, who would get this match in her team’s control. She hit a gutbuster before letting Hartwell back in to stomp Catanzaro.
Hartwell would hit a big swinging sidewalk slam, getting a two count and pulling the hair of Catanzaro to keep her away from a tag. LeRae would come in, hit a scoop slam but miss a senton. This let Catanzaro get the tag, and Carter came in to clean house, hitting a flatliner on LeRae and dropkick on Hartwell, who’d fall to the outside.
Catanzaro would take Hartwell out, but LeRae managed to get Carter in position for Wicked Step-Sister. Hartwell got control of her fight, dropped Catanzaro with a big boot, and Carter got stomped into the mat with ease.
Another Potential Tag Team For The WWE Women’s Tag Team Division
This team needs some work, but one win is a solid start. Hartwell will benefit greatly by getting the chance to work alongside one of the best female wrestlers in the world, especially where she’s still figuring everything out. This makes another Women’s Tag Team in NXT.
However, the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles remain on just Smackdown & RAW. Could Hartwell & LeRae be the team to eventually bring these titles to where the action truly is? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
