Toni Storm is back in NXT, this time to stay. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion is as tough as they come, but still needs to prove herself on her way to a shot at the NXT Women’s Champion, Io Shirai. She’ll get a great chance to do just that tonight, as she is the handpicked opponent of Shotzi Blackheart, who got to pick a match after hosting Halloween Havoc last week.
Shotzi Blackheart Doesn’t Have Her Tank, And She’s Not Happy About It
Blackheart would hit the ring quickly, and shove Storm. Eager to get this one started, she’d go for a big kick, but miss and take some offense from Storm. A quick start would die when Blackheart fell over the top rope. Blackheart was blaming Storm for her tank vanishing, and that is what had her heated.
Storm got tripped up in the corner, but dodged the cannonball senton and hit a hip attack. Some hard chops would come from Storm, but Blackheart would come back some forearms. Blackheart got a small package for a two count, before being dropped with a boot to the stomach.
Storm followed up with some uppercuts before trying for the pinfall, and then opted for a neck crank. Blackheart fought free again, but quickly found herself in the same position once again. She would be unable to find any room in this match, Storm showing why she’s a natural champion with this control. A quick suplex from Storm would follow, as we went to a commercial break.
Toni Storm Gets The Edge With A Distraction, The Tank Is Dead
Coming back from the break, Blackheart would hit a front dropkick and the reverse slingblade. The comeback was here, and a hook kick knocked Storm silly. She’d take refuge on the ropes, before taking a senton to the back. A step up enziguri would be blocked, and Storm has a series of German Suplexes in mind.
Blackheart almost broke free and hit Sliced Bread, only to be hit with the second German Suplex. Storm Zero would be attempted, but Blackheart got free and hit the backdrop driver. This only got a near fall, but Storm would use her head (literally) and almost got a pinfall.
Storm went high, but was knocked to the apron. They’d exchange forearms, Blackheart getting the edge, and would hit a facebuster to the apron and send both to the outside with a tumble. The referee would almost count them out, but Blackheart got in the ring only to see LeRae on the screen with her tank… in the middle of a road.
This distraction let Storm get the win with a European Clutch, and Shotzi Blackhearts tank was wrecked, as LeRae ran it over. Robert Stone loved this, but Blackheart is feral.
Will Shotzi Blackheart get revenge on Candice LeRae for this? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
