Winter is Coming in AEW, as a cold night (by Florida standards) sweeps through Daily’s Place. However, tonight’s card is anything but cold, with the biggest match in AEW Dynamite history on the horizon. It’s AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defending against Kenny Omega, and they’re both ready for a war.

There are other matches announced, so let’s get to them first.

Winter Is Coming, And It Brought A Stacked Card

Even ignoring the main event for the moment, we have a huge AEW Dynamite card. We have the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale returning, as MJF looks to keep his favorite cheap shot tool. Miro, Wardlow, Matt Hardy, Sammy Guevara, Private Party, Matt Sydal, Orange Cassidy, Sammy Guevara, and more will battle it out. The last two men standing meet in a singles match on a later episode of AEW Dynamite.

There’s action from the one and only Britt Baker, who is taking on AEW newcomer Leyla Hirsch. While Baker is a powerful force in the AEW women’s division, Hirsch isn’t someone to mess with. She’s waiting for her breakout moment, and beating Baker on this huge episode of Dynamite could be that moment.

After last week’s tag team match which saw Chris Jericho & Jake Hager take on SCU, we have another Jericho singles match. He’ll take on fellow veteran Frankie Kazarian, one of the hardest working men in AEW. It’s a first time match from two men who’ve forgotten more about wrestling than some will ever learn, so it’ll be something special.

Finally, Team Taz members Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs get a crack at Darby Allin & Cody Rhodes. This is the latest match in this long running feud, and promises to be nothing short of incredible.

Everyone’s Here For Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega

While the rest of the card looks great, this is a one match show. Ever since Kenny Omega lost to Jon Moxley last year in a Lights Out match, fans wanted the rematch. That comes tonight, and is for the AEW World Championship. Moxley has been champion for a long time now, and while he’s beaten all who have stepped in-front of him, Omega is different.

Having finally rekindled the inner flame that made him The Best Bout Machine, Omega tore through the World Title Eliminator tournament. Wins over Sonny Kiss, Penta El Zero M, and his former tag team partner Hangman Page to get here. He’s more confident than ever, at the top of his game, and knows his time is now.

This is the biggest match possible right now. Omega & Moxley feel larger than life, the two biggest names in AEW, if not professional wrestling as a whole. Anything could happen in this one, and TNT is ready to keep the show going past AEW’s closing time if need be.
