Impact Wrestling Preview is all set for the action tonight, and it looks like we’re getting a first ever match up between Brian Myers and TJP.
Since joining Impact Wrestling, Myers has proclaimed himself “The Most Professional Wrestler” but he’s had a rough go of it after barely getting through his previous feud with Willie Mack.
Things have been looking up following two consecutive wins against Swoggle and Crazzy Steve the last couple of weeks, and he’s looking to further establish himself.
While Myers is seeking to establish himself, TJP is an exciting performer that’s locked up to three opponents in simultaneous submissions, but he’s fallen just short of winning a championship.
He’s come close a couple of times and he shows no sign of giving up the chase for gold, even if he lost the right to challenge Rohit Raju for the X-Division title after losing their last match.
With both men at a crossroads to prove themselves and possibly toward the top championship in the company, Impact Wrestling Preview expects this to be an exciting and fun match as we expect them to let everything hang out.
Cody Deaner (w/Cousin Jake) vs Eric Young (w/Joe Doering)
The Deaners have had a hard time getting some traction since returning from Wrestle House, but this time it’s different.
While they competed to move up the tag team ladder, Cody is ready to settle a personal score after being attacked by Eric Young and Joe Doering last week.
To add insult to injury, Cody was attempting to right a previous loss to Johnny Swinger when Young and Doering came to the ring to wreak havoc.
While Doering focused on Swinger, Young went after Cody. After being laid out with a piledriver, Cody was beside himself backstage as he ranted to Jake about his history with Young.
We heard how Young was there when Cody first went to wrestling school and how they drove together.
Because of that, Cody became the first of Young and Doering’s victims to challenge one of them in the ring, and Young accepted the challenge.
Saying this is personal to Cody is an understatement and we expect to see a darker side to him as he’ll go after Young early and often.
While we expect this to be another great match, we also expect some action between Cousin Jake and Joe Doering outside the ring as they’ll undoubtedly be caught up in a brawl.
Until now, Young and Doering have played the numbers game and jumped their victims. Will the Deaners be the ones to slow down their assault and right their ship going forward?
Impact Wrestling Preview expects these matches to be better than expected. Who do you think will walk out of them victorious? Let us know in the comments below.
