There looks set to be another weekend of exciting MMA action this coming Saturday, as UFC Fight Night Takes place at the UFC APEX. All eyes will certainly be already on UFC 256, which takes place just the weekend after.

But, Fight Night will be where Jack Hermansson and Marvin Vettori will be looking for huge wins in the middleweight division. There is also exciting action on the undercard, as Ovince Saint Preux take on Jamahal Hill, and Montana De La Rosa comes up against Talia Santos.

UFC News: Hermansson On Verge On Title Opportunity

This will be a massive weekend for Swedish-Norwegian fighter Jack Hermansson, as he could further his claims for a title opportunity. He is currently rated as the fourth best in the middleweight division, and there is no doubt that The Joker has excellent experience that he will be taking into this fight. He has picked up some excellent wins in the UFC over recent years, and that has seen him improve his record to 21-5.

Hermansson will take confidence from his last performance in the octagon, as he beat Kelvin Gastelum by submission in the opening round. That avenged any memories of the defeat that he suffered in the second round in Denmark against Jared Cannonier. A win this weekend will see him emerge with a potential title fight in 2021, but he will be coming up against a revered opponent.

UFC News: Vettori Enters As The Underdog

Marvin Vettori is ranked at 13th in the middleweight rankings, as he still searches for a win that will see him emerge as a leading contender in the division. He has won 15 of his professional MMA fights, and has been beaten on four occasions. But, there have been signs over the past 18 months that he could certainly trouble Hermannson this weekend, as he has won his last three fights in the UFC.

Since his defeat is Israel Adesanya in April 2018, he has won on all three appearances. Two of these victories have come by submission, as he beat Cezar Ferreira and Andrew Sanchez. He certainly comes into the fight in great confidence after beating Karl Roberson in his last fight by submission in the opening round. Both fighters will be looking to win this early, and that will ensure that it is a fight that fans will not be able to take their eyes off.
