After months of being an afterthought to even the most avid fan of tag team wrestling, the NXT Tag Team division is interesting once again.
Grizzled Young Veterans are back to try and add the NXT Tag Team Championships to their resume, while Breezango just want to get their gold back. A win here would get both men into the mix for a shot at Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch come 2021, and this should be a great match.
Breezango Risks It All
James Drake started up with Tyler Breeze, and quickly was able to take him down to the mat. Breeze is no slouch and gained wrist control, and Drake had a very hard time breaking free of this.
Fandango tagged in, and dropped Drake with a shoulder tackle, and took him down with an armdrag. Drake finally got enough control to tag Zack Gibson in, and Fandango remained dominant!
Breeze would tag in, and throw Gibson into the corner, but Drake made a quick save and allowed Grizzled Young Veterans to finally gain control. A double suplex was attempted, but Breeze slipped out and tagged in Fandango once again.
Breezango was able to regain control and hit a double superkick, and Fandango went for a big dive, but landed awkwardly as we went to a commercial break.
Grizzled Young Veterans Are On A Roll
Coming back from the break, Grizzled Young Veterans are in control and hit a double kneebreaker on the outside.
Fandango would barely stand, and would be propped on the second rope for a dragon screw from Zack Gibson. A big bodyslam, and Fandango’s legs hit off the ropes. He’d kick Drake off, Gibson quickly regained control, but Fandango slipped away to make the tag.
Breeze came into the ring with a heart full of fire and kicks aplenty for Grizzled Young Veterans. He sent both members to the outside and wanted a dive, but instead landed on his feet and was sandwiched with elbows.
Fandango dove to his aid, but was then sent into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Grizzled Young Veterans hit Ticket to Mayhem on Breeze for the win.
After the match, Ever-Rise called out Grizzled Young Veterans, but once they actually made their way up the ramp? They hit the bricks. Will Ever-Rise fall to Grizzled Young Veterans next? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
