When Karrion Kross was forced to vacate the NXT Championship just after beating Keith Lee for it, he made sure everyone knew this wasn’t the end. He has healed up, and is now ready to rip and tear his way back to the top. His first major target will be Damien Priest after some insults last week, but tonight he claims another minor victim on his way back to the top. That will be Desmond Troy, who might not know exactly what to expect here. It’s one thing to watch Kross go to work, it’s another to be a victim.
Karrion Kross Was Ready To Tear Someone Apart
Troy is a very accomplished amateur wrestler and has faced the likes of Seth Rollins & Jinder Mahal, but Kross is another kind of vicious. Kross would just grapple Troy down, batter him with strikes, hit the Doomsday Saito and this one was over with the Kross Jacket. He’s picking up right where he left off, winning this match in less than a minute.
This isn’t the man who took 15 minutes to overcome Keith Lee due to a busted shoulder, but the man who routed Tommaso Ciampa in less than five minutes on NXT Takeover. He’s going to tear a path back to his NXT Championship, a belt he never lost!
But First… He Has To Finish Off Damien Priest
Kross didn’t forget about Damien Priest making fun of him last week, saying he sends Scarlett to do his work while he sits in the car. He might have powerbombed Priest off the stage. Now, he sent a simple message to Priest. “Damien Priest, January 6th at New Years Evil? Tuck your chin, because your ass is mine. Tick tock.” He didn’t even need to stay in the car and have Scarlett relay this message.
That’s our second announced match for New Years Evil, joining Kyle O’Reilly vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Championship. Whoever wins that match will likely go onto the next Takeover for the winner of O’Reilly vs. Balor. Who will win these two huge coming matches?
