‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re all set to spread some spoilery goodness.

Things are going to take an interesting turn in Genoa City as they prepare for next week’s crossover run.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, January 7: Kyle Takes Action- Adam puts the Blame for Chelsea’s Condition on Billy- Lily Questions Combining her Work and Private Life

To get things moving in that direction, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is going to take steps to protect his interests from, we imagine, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

This could mean anything, but we have a feeling it’ll involve Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, January 7: Kyle the family man

Kyle is habitually reactionary when a threat’s around early on, and while this could classify as that, ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think he’s going to do some preemptive planning.

To do that, we think he’ll try to convince Jack that not everyone is deserving of a second chance. This will be his best chance at helping Summer while she prepares to head to Los Angeles, but will Jack listen?

If there’s anyone that understands the need for a second chance it’s Jack. There is a chance this could work out in Sally’s favor, and that could be interesting indeed.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, January 7: Here we go again

We’ll then reenter lazy writing/producing area as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will lay the blame for Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan)’s current condition on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Since he told Chelsea it was all his fault, this puts him firmly back in the niche of passing the blame for anything he does to someone else.

This smacks of back consistency with Adam changing his narrative from one second to the other, but it’ll be played off as typical him and that’ll be that.

Would it really hurt the show if we got a break from Adam and his upcoming war with Billy? It seems a little overkill to constantly rely on that one character.

Basically, it gets boring after the half dozenth time or so, and with Billy as the focal point?

Speaking of Billy, he’s going to be the center of controversy today, big and small, as Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will question if it’s wise having a personal and working relationship with him.

Sure, she’s happy, but is it worth it?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, January 7: Caught in the middle

Lily’s at the top of her game both professionally and personally, and it’s mainly due to her combining the two.

Ever since she and Billy were put at the head of Chance Comm we all knew it was only a matter of time before they became an item, and they’ve survived a few issues to get where they are.

But things could be getting complicated with the new expose coming out and Billy wanting to shower her with praise and adulation for helping him.

The fact he’ll probably do that in the expose anyway will be a determining factor in her decision, but until then she’s going to debate with herself if her happiness now is worth the possible ruin later on.

What do you think Lily will decide? Let us know in the comments below, and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
