Looks like we’re in for a great pay-per-view as Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill Preview is set with the latest matchups and our predictions.
This pay-per-view will also mark a new era in Impact Wrestling as Josh Mathews and Madison Rayne are being replaced on commentary by Matt Striker and D’Lo Brown.
Fans have been lukewarm of Mathews for a while and this should be an interesting change going forward.

Promotion and wrestling future
As per cagesideseats.com, Josh Mathews signed a multi-year contract and has been promoted to Senior Producer.
He released a press release stating his excitement at moving up the ladder and what’s to come for Impact Wrestling:
My play-by-play career has spanned nearly 20 years – from WrestleMania to Bound For Glory to incredible moments from IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV. Producing will allow me to have a bigger role in the overall production of our weekly show, PPVs and IMPACT+ Specials.
This transition has been a great process, Matt and D’Lo are bringing a fresh energy and are ready to go. It was a special year in 2020, and both Madison Rayne and I will always be grateful for the opportunity and look forward to these exciting changes.
It’s great to see him moving into new things and we wish him the best, and this explains why we saw Striker guest commentating a few weeks back and heard some hints that he’d be possibly doing it more in the future.
As for Rayne, it’s rumored that she’ll make an announcement about her wrestling career at Hard to Kill, but whether it’s about her returning to the ring, moving into a behind the scenes role, or more isn’t known.
Are you excited for this move?
Josh Alexander vs. Brian Myers (Preshow)
This match came about after Myers walked in following Scott D’Amore presiding over the Knockouts Tag Team Championship match contract signing.
After wanting to know when he was going to get an opportunity, Josh Alexander joined them and pointed out how Myers cheats and hasn’t earned an opportunity.
D’Amore went on one of his classic rants about them facing each other and creating their own opportunities, so this is where it’s going to happen.
This should be a good match between two of the more underrated talents in professional wrestling, and we expect it to be the perfect lead in to the pay-per-view.
Now on his own with Ethan Page leaving and The North no more, we expect Alexander to win his first PPV singles match in his typical gritty style, and this should infuriate Myers and a possible feud could start between them.
