Two of the best female powerhouses in WWE history will clash again tonight. First time Rhea Ripley & Raquel Gonzalez met in a match, they tore the house down in what was dubbed “The Battle Of The Badasses”. Now, they’re going to tear each other apart again, this time in a Last Woman Standing match. Expect chaos in this one!
A Chaotic And Dangerous Start
Ripley started fast with a dropkick, before some more strikes in the corner. Gonzalez couldn’t break free as Ripley hit the Thesz press and rained blows down. Ripley was run through with a lariat and three fallaway slams, but got up at a four count. She came back with a slap to the face after some trash talking.
Some kicks to the head sent Gonzalez to the outside, and this one now had weapons. A kendo stick in the hands of Ripley is dangerous, and Gonzalez took two hard blows before countering. Ripley was thrown aside, but came back with a dropkick, meeting a steel chair instead.
Now Gonzalez had the kendo stick, and broke it over the back of Ripley. Handcuffs came out from under the ring, and Gonzalez was handcuffed to the fencing at ringside. She wasn’t defenseless, hitting a big boot and ripping the fencing with her brute power. Now, her right hand at some fencing to use as a weapon.
Ripley tried to use the ring bell hammer, but got sent face first into the ring bell itself. A backdrop right through the announce table almost ended this, especially as Gonzalez buried Ripley with rubble. Ripley got up at nine.
Sent right into the ring, Ripley took a second to catch her breath, but was hit with a Brodie Lee style swinging slam in the middle of the ring. She struggled back to her feet, and was sent right over the top rope. Steel steps were set up, and both women crashed onto them. Gonzalez was back up first, and swung for the fences with those steps.
Raquel Gonzalez Sends Rhea Ripley Through The Stage
A running big boot that sent Ripley tumbling off the stage. We’d end up backstage, and Gonzalez was speared through a glass door, both women getting back to their feet at eight. Gonzalez was sent head first into lockers and equipment boxes before being set up on the table.
Ripley climbed a locker and hit a swanton bomb, getting an eight count on Gonzalez. Dakota Kai rushed in with a kendo stick, helping her partner out. This attack just fired Ripley up, and Kai was beaten with locker doors, before shoving her in the locker and trapping her.
Taking her eyes off Gonzalez led her to being hit with a steel chair, but she came back quickly and got the Prism Lock, but was kicked off into the staging. Gonzalez ran into a Death Valley Driver, hitting the LED boards.
Ripley wanted to slam Gonzalez on the steel steps, but was tripped up. Gonzalez hit the one armed powerbomb through the stage, and the count started. Gonzalez got to her feet first, and won the biggest match of her life.
Last Woman Standing matches aren’t easy to pull off, as the 10 counts really break the pace, but these two brought plenty of chaos and destruction to enjoy. Match Rating: 3.5/5 (*** ½)
