Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re looking forward to what should be an interesting night as Shinsuke Nakamura faces Jey Uso and more.
We’re going to use this time to grab some snacks and be back for the 8 p.m. EST start.
What do you think will happen tonight? Drop us a line in the comments, and WWE Smackdown Live Results will see you at showtime!
Segment 1
Paul Heyman wasn’t happy with Reigns and Pearce’s contract and will add a stipulation allowing Reigns to teach him a lesson.
Jey Uso came to the ring and cut a solid promo about the Bloodline and how they run the show, then promised Nakamura will leave the Thunderdome on a stretcher.
Nakamura came out and told Jey he’s Reign’s little puppy and dropped him with a kick as we headed to commercial.
Segment 2
Jey Uso vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Nakamura took over control after an early flurry by Jey, and he bounced Jey off the ring post as Cesaro came out before the commercial break.
Segment 3
A great match ended when Nakamura hit a kinsasha after Jey argued the ref calling off his pin because Jey’s feet were on the ropes.
Cesaro also announced he’s entering the Royal Rumble, and if he wins he’ll challenge Reigns because of what Reigns did to Nakamura last week.
Segment 4
The Street Profits cut a promo about eventually facing Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team titles.
Reigns refused the signed contract of his and Pearce’s match being a no DQ; he wants a last man standing match and told Heyman to make Pearce sign it in the ring tonight.
Segment 5
Natalya w/Tamina vs. Liv Morgan w/Ruby Riott and Billie Key
Morgan had the match won, but Kay ran through the ring after upsetting Tamina and Natalya rolled up the distracted Morgan for the win.
Segment 6
Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio vs. King Corbin
Corbin won after hitting a End of Days after antagonizing Dominik and using Rey to knock Dominik to the floor.
Segment 7
Ding Dong, Hello was pretty underwhelming, but there is potential if they use a separate set outside of the ring.
Segment 8
Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan
This started out fast with Cesaro in control, then Bryan. Cesaro ducked a kick and Cesaro hit the ring post as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
A great match and arguably the best of the night ended when Cesaro hit an uppercut and Neutralizer for the win.
Segment 10
Apollo Crews vs. Sami Zayn
Not a bad match that Crews won by rolling Zayn up with a handful of tights.
This was meant to further Crews and Big E’s feud, and did a good job since Big E watched the match from a comfy sofa at ringside.
They’ll have a match next week for the Intercontinental Championship.
Segment 11
Contract signing.
Reigns and Pearce met in the ring where they both signed the contract.
When he left, Pearce developed a bad limp and said it’s his knee and it acts up from time to time. But all WWE contracts allow for a suitable replacement.
Since he won’t be medically cleared to compete at the Royal Rumble, he named his replacement and Kevin Owens came out.
Owens then signed the contract, smiling ear to ear.
This was a great way to end the night and fix the storyline we weren’t a fan of.
Overall, it was a good show. What did you think of it? Let us know in the comment below, and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Results.
We had a blast and can’t wait to see you all next time.
