It’s Wednesday, you know what that means. Another episode of AEW Dynamite is on it’s way, and we’re just a few weeks from their next PPV event, Revolution. Last week, we found out more of the card, with Jon Moxley set for an Exploding Ring Barbed Wire Deathmatch with Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship. We’re also getting a ladder match for number one contender ship for the TNT Championship with Lance Archer & Rey Fenix, and find out the fourth man involved tonight. Let’s break down that and much more!
Lance Archer To Face Rey Fenix For Right Of Entry For Ladder Match
That aforementioned ladder match already has Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, and Penta El Zero Em signed up. There are three more slots, and tonight Lance Archer will clash with Rey Fenix to decide who gets one spot. Cody Rhodes explains the qualification process as he’s Cody Rhodes so he’s in, and Penta & Sky are coming back from injury so this gets them back into the mix.
Basically, we get the best big man in the company against one of the greatest high flyers in the world today in a high stakes singles match. There doesn’t need to be much story here, Archer & Fenix are even allies as of late, but this is just going to be an action packed David vs. Giolath match for the ages. Sometimes, it just needs to be simple and fun as hell.
Jon Moxley Is Keeping Busy With Ryan Nemeth
Meanwhile, Jon Moxley just wants to get to Revolution to tear Kenny Omega apart, but has to pass the time. Beating up Dolph Ziggler’s brother is a fine way to do just that, as Ryan Nemeth is back once again. He’s dropped matches to Hangman Page & PAC recently, with PAC absolutely wiping the floor with Nemeth.
However, given the target on his back from Bullet Club, Moxley might be victim of a major upset tonight. Nemeth does fit the vibe of his particular Bullet Club branch, and getting a win over Jon Moxley would skyrocket him in AEW. Moxley is used to watching his back, especially with Omega around.
Semi-Finals Of AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament
This Sunday on Bleacher Report, we get a free AEW Special event with matches like Riho vs. Thunder Rosa. Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose isn’t as special as per this choice, something which will certainly sit well with Britt Baker who always is looking into a conspiracy against her, and who is feuding with Rosa. However, she still has a chance to punch her ticket to the American Finals, she just needs to overcome The Native Beast, Nyla Rose to do so.
Also announced is Brandon Cutler vs. Jake Hager, Hangman Page vs. Isiah Kassidy, and Sting responding to being powerbombed by Brian Cage last week. Ricky Starks & Brian Cage take on Varsity Blondes.
