At Final Battle 2020, Danhausen defeated Brian Johnson to confirm his contract with Ring of Honor (ROH). It was by disqualification, after using some deception on the referee to convince them that Johnson hit him with a microphone, but a wins a win. However, now Danhausen has another match with Johnson to deal with, and this time his opponent isn’t just angry about facing Danhausen, he’s angry about losing to him as well. Johnson feels Danhausen is mocking a sport he loves, and ruined his Final Battle debut, and will stop at nothing to beat Danhausen.
Love That Danhausen
After begging for a sack of money from Dave Honor, he’d carry it to the ring alongside his jar of teeth, that contract demand clearly met. Maybe he gets his blimp after this win? Code of Honor was adhered too because Brian Johnson is forced to do it by management, and he’d counter the pump kick as the bell rang. Danhausen dodged the counter strikes, and would out-wrestle Johnson, getting the roll up for a two count.
Following this up, Danhausen countered a flapjack with a dropkick, sending Johnson to the outside. Johnson couldn’t sneak into the ring with a strike, and instead paced around before coming in and being thrown right back out. Danhausen had his leg yanked, and would be put between the ring and the apron, and beat down by Johnson. Johnson decided it was time to cut a promo, as Danhausen slipped under the ring, popped his head out and dodged a running PK, sending Johnson onto his back.
Danhausen got the microphone, and led the invisible crowd in a chant before kicking Johnson right between the eyes twice. Johnson got back in the ring and blocked a German Suplex using the ropes and the Northern Lights before getting the eye poke and throwing Danhausen out of the ring, then diving onto his opponent. Back in the ring, Johnson hit a diving clothesline followed by the Mecca Locomotive for a two count.
Brian Johnson Steals The Win
Danhausen would be stomped in the corner, before being locked in a tight abdominal stretch. He’d counter out with the hip toss, and miss the elbow drop. Johnson hit some knees to the gut, before mouthing off once again and hitting an elbow to the skull. Another abdominal stretch would further punish the ribs of Danhausen, and Johnson used the rope for extra leverage until caught by the referee.
Danhausen finally broke the hold with another hip toss, and nailed the elbow drop this time. A big headbutt rocked Johnson, before he’d take a running european uppercut and Northern Lights Suplex, and the slingshot German Suplex before setting up Goodnighthausen, which was blocked by Johnson who ate a pump kick. Johnson slipped to the top rope, missed a dive and was locked in Cattle Mutilation by Danhausen, but Johnson panicked his way to the ropes.
A rollup on Danhasen got two, before Johnson tried to use the ropes for a pinfall and was caught. Johnson would be dropped with The Impaler DDT, getting a near fall. The jar of teeth was grabbed, but Johnson rushed and put him on the top rope, before the top rope hung cutter dropped Danhausen. Johnson poured out the teeth from the jar, and used that time to expose a corner. He’d be sent into it and hit with Goodnighthausen, but rolled outside the ring. Johnson grabbed the microphone, nailed Danhausen, dove into the ring with a splash, and put his feet on the ropes to win!
