Since the build to Elimination Chamber, the friendship of Drew McIntyre & Sheamus has imploded. The result has been a heated series of grudge matches, including an absolute classic on the March 1st episode of Monday Night RAW. Tonight, McIntyre looks to finally put Sheamus behind him as he looks ahead to Wrestlemania 37, where he will face Bobby Lashley. Sheamus on the other hand, looks to ensure McIntyre doesn’t make it that far as they enter a No DQ match.
Drew McIntyre Came Ready For War
McIntyre came out with the Scottish Flag painted on his face, but Sheamus didn’t do the Irish one on his. Sheamus would mouth off, and they’d trade strikes early. McIntyre hit a set of belly to belly suplexes, before sending Sheamus over the top rope.
Sheamus tripped McIntyre up on the apron, before driving him off the barricade. McIntyre hit a belly to belly suplex on the floor, before sending Sheamus into the ring post and pulling the announce table apart. He’d pull some kendo sticks and get attacked from behind, before throwing Sheamus once again with a suplex, before tossing him face first into the steel steps.
McIntyre would stomp the face of Sheamus into the steel before getting back into the ring. He’d grab a kendo stick, and be hit with a Brogue Kick as Sheamus got back in. Sheamus whacked him with the kendo stick while talking some trash. The Kendo Stick was put in the mouth of McIntyre, attacking that recently broken jaw.
McIntyre came back with two Glasgow Kiss headbutts, before grabbing the kendo stick and unloading on Sheamus. He’d hit a White Russian Leg Sweep before driving the handle into Sheamus’s eye. Sheamus slipped outside, and tripped McIntyre onto the steel steps.
Tearing The Thunderdome Down
McIntyre would be hit with the steel steps next, before Sheamus got him up onto the announce table. He wanted White Noise, but McIntyre countered and threw Sheamus off into the barricade. They’d brawl around the outside, throwing heavy blows before Sheamus hit a suplex on the exposed floor.
They’d brawl up into the screens of the WWE Thunderdome, and Sheamus hit the Rolling Fireman’s Carry. McIntyre would toss Sheamus through the screens of the Thunderdome. He’d ask where the trash talk is now, before putting him on a road case to help move him closer to the ring.
A suplex took Sheamus off the case, but he’d come back with a Brogue Kick, sending McIntyre over the apron. Sheamus would say that he belongs in the main event of Wrestlemania before hitting White Noise off the barricade through the announce table.
McIntyre was pulled back to the ring, and Sheamus pulled a piece of the announce desk into the ring. However, McIntyre hit the Future Shock onto the piece and hit the Claymore for the win.
