William Regal is a busy man on the build to NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver. We have two nights of action coming, numerous people looking for spots on the card. As if he wasn’t busy enough, he now has to deal with vacant NXT Tag Team Championships after Karrion Kross injured Danny Burch, and he’s got Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly at each other’s throats and thirsty for blood. Tonight, he will look to fix both of these situations.
NXT Tag Team Championships Will Be Decided At NXT Takeover
The easier fix was in regard to the tag titles. On night one of NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver, we’ll have new NXT Tag Team Champions crowned. It’ll be MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) vs. Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson).
Triple threat rules will ensure this is complete chaos, but also that we leave with a champion. MSK & GYV gave a classic at NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day, and adding Legado will only up the action. Any of these teams would make great champions as well.
Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly Will Meet In An Unsanctioned Match
Cole & O’Reilly would be caught brawling while O’Reilly was training, and nearly got his ass kicked. Earlier in the show, O’Reilly bluntly told Strong when approached about kicking his ass together, that there is no Undisputed Era anymore, and everyone is alone. Presumably, this doesn’t include Fish & O’Reilly, who have been a tag team for nearly a decade.
He’d sit them down, berate them for getting the police involved, but had a contract. It was his solution. Kyle O’Reilly will face Adam Cole and it’s unsanctioned, due to O’Reilly not being cleared. This means anything goes, and they set the rules.
Kyle O’Reilly Grew Up
Cole would say that he has felt blind for years, and he had a revelation recently. The Undisputed Era was holding him back, and O’Reilly showed him that when he went for the NXT Championship twice. Even worse, he failed twice and tried to befriend Finn Balor. Cole is now taking back his career, and he’ll put O’Reilly down first.
He’d claim O’Reilly is nothing without him, and at Takeover, Cole knows he will win. O’Reilly would remind Cole that the Undisputed Era made a lot of enemies, but he grew up and realized that isn’t the way. They became better wrestlers, they became stars, but only one of them became a better person.
Adam Cole is the same asshole who came to NXT, while O’Reilly grew up. No one will be surprised when O’Reilly wins at Takeover, and after four years, he’ll finally sleep with a clear head.
