It’s Wednesday, you know what that means. Time for another episode of AEW Dynamite! We have another stacked card ahead, with a defense of the TNT Championship, The Young Bucks taking on The Sydals in a non-title match, and Brian Cage taking up where Ricky Starks left off last week with Hangman Page! Fans can also expect to hear from the new Impact Wrestling World Champion Kenny Omega, as he brags about adding another belt to his collection. All this and more, so let’s break the card down.
Hearing From The Now Triple World Champion, Kenny Omega
After beating Rich Swann half to death at Impact Wrestling: Rebellion, Kenny Omega claimed another world championship. He’s now AAA Mega Champion, AEW World Champion & IMPACT World Champion, won in that order. He’s becoming one of the most sought after opponents in the industry, but who knows if he’s good with just three championships, or if he will be looking to claim more. Tonight, we will hear from him, and get an idea on what is next for Kenny Omega.
The Sydals Have A Chance To Earn An AEW World Tag Team Championship Match
Speaking of Kenny Omega, his best friends and the AEW World Tag Team Champions are in action tonight. They will be facing Mike & Matt Sydal in a non-title match, but it’s an Eliminator match. Should The Sydals be able to beat The Young Bucks tonight, they will have earned the next shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships at a future date. Many will argue they should just get the shot tonight, but The Young Bucks want them to prove themselves further.
Hangman Page Continues To Wage War With Team Taz
Last week on AEW Dynamite, Hangman Page was able to work his way past Ricky Starks in the opening match. Starks wasn’t able to get the win, but Taz was watching closely. He saw a weakness in Page, one that Brian Cage will look to tear open this week on AEW Dynamite. Page remains on a hot streak, but one wrong move against Cage, and he could fall right down the rankings.
Darby Allin Makes Another Defense Of The TNT Championship
Finally for the major matches on tonight’s show, we have another defense from the TNT Champion, Darby Allin. He’s been on a roll lately, with an 8-0 record in 2021, with his last 7 singles matches being TNT Championship defenses. Tonight makes five Dynamites in a row, as he faces Preston Vance of The Dark Order.
Also announced for tonight is Penelope Ford vs. Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy vs. Penta El Zero M, The Factory vs. The Nightmare Family, and likely some hype for Blood & Guts. What are you most excited for tonight with AEW Dynamite? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
