The marketing behind the next Resident Evil game titled Resident Evil Village. We had the first event back in January that showed off what was happening within the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil. The second event has now been confirmed for next week, on July 15th.
The event will be focused on the upcoming Resident Evil 8 that is releasing on May 7th. It has been confirmed that the event will show off some new gameplay and a new trailer.
This means that we could see a trailer and most likely a playthrough of a certain part of the game. There is a surprise in store for the event that hasn’t been teased through the announcement.
The new Demo announcement seems likely.
It feels like the big announcement could be the Demo. The first Demo was only basically a visual Demo where you could explore the area.
They did mention that we were going to get a second Demo that highlights more of the gameplay. It has become the norm where we get a decent size Demo before the release of the game.
Resident Evil Village looks to be a very different game from what we have seen in the past. So let’s hope that this new Demo coming up shows all this off. Everything is pointing to a Demo releasing on the day, but that doesn’t mean it could be something actually surprising.
This feels very State of Play, is there any need?
Sadly, the whole event feels not very needed and like they’re going down the State of Play event. Where they show just one game in an event, however, these events may be ok for marketing purposes. All of them do feel slightly boring, especially with this one where we have already seen a lot of the upcoming Resident Evil.
After the original event that showed off different games coming in the Resident Evil series. That felt like it had a lack of content within, meaning that this one could be boring to some of the other events we have seen in the past.
