Action resumes in the octagon this weekend, as Fight Night takes place on Saturday evening. The main event on the night will see Marvin Vettori and Kevin Holland battle in the middleweight division, but there is an engaging co-main event also on the cards for fight fans.
Arnold Allen and Sodiq Yusuff are in that position on the Fight Night card this weekend, and both fighters will be looking to continue their excellent form inside the octagon with another victory.
UFC News: Arnold Allen Looking For Tenth Straight Win
Arnold Allen will come into the fight this weekend against Yusuff as the narrow outsider in the betting. But, in truth, it is difficult to separate these two featherweights as they have both been in excellent form in recent years. Allen holds the experience over his rival this weekend, as he will be having his 18th professional fight.
During his career so far, he has lost just once. That decision came by decision in June 2014, as he was beaten by Marcin Wrzosek at CWFC 69. His UFC debut came back in June 2015 on the undercard to the Jedrzejczyk and Penne Fight Night event. He claimed a submission victory on his bow against Alan Omer. Since then, he has gone on to win all fights he has had in the UFC, with five of his seven career wins with UFC coming by decision. This will be a first appearance at the UFC Apex, and only a second in Las Vegas.
UFC News: Yusuff The Current Favourite
Yusuff comes into the fight as the narrow favourite in the betting, and like Allen, he has lost on just one previous occasion. That defeat didn’t come during his time in UFC, as he lost by KO against Luis Gomez at Titan FC 47 in December 2017. That was the only occasion in his professional career that he has challenge for a title.
His reputation in the UFC is growing with every showing, and this will be his fifth fight on a card. His last fight came in January last year, as he beat Andre Filli by unanimous decision. He has won half of his four fights in UFC by TKO, as he beat both Gabriel Benitez and Suman Mokhtarian in the first round of their contests. However, this could be a much more difficult fight against a talented opponent.
