It’s almost strange to not see Darby Allin defending the TNT Championship on Dynamite, but after his recent match with Miro? He’s no longer the champion. Instead, he’s now focused on an upcoming tag team match with Sting at Double Or Nothing. However, he’s staying fresh in the singles ranks as he takes on Cezar Bononi. Sting will be at ringside, and should be able to keep this a clean fight, even with Peter Avalon, JD Drake and Ryan Nemeth at ringside.
Darby Allin Makes The Comeback
Still taped up from his recent fight with Miro, Allin had a clear target for the bigger opponent of Bononi. Bononi would drive him into the corner for some strikes before hitting a punch to the taped up ribs. Allin looked to fire back with an armbar, but took a knee strike to the ribs. Bononi had a clear target, and he’d attack the injury more by just throwing him across the ring with a scoop slam.
Allin was tossed out to the ramp, and Bononi would follow him just to toss him into the middle of the ring. Bononi went for a few quick pinfalls, but Allin kept kicking out at one. Allin finally got some offense by applying a sleeper hold. He’d cover the mouth and nose, helping him take Bononi down to a knee. A stunner and shotgun dropkick set Bononi up for the coffin drop, and that was all it took for Allin to get the win.
Ceazr Bononi had a solid powerhouse showcase here, but that was all he had to offer. Allin made the comeback, and got a quick win. An average match, fine for TV. Match Rating: 2/5 (**)
After the match, Allin would call out Page & Sky to fight them right now. Sky would come out and say that they’re not gonna give the retirement of Sting away on free TV. Fans will have to watch Double or Nothing this Sunday to see a legend be ended, and another legend be formed.
As Sky & Page walked away, Bononi, Drake, Avalon and Nemeth attacked Sting & Allin from behind, and suddenly Page & Sky were ready to attack. Dark Order would save Sting & Allin from potential injury by evening the odds, and this alliance between Dark Order & the duo of Sting and Allin continues.
