At the next All Elite Wrestling PPV event, Double or Nothing, Kenny Omega will once again defend the AEW World Championship. After tonight, he will be able to prepare for his challenge. It will either be PAC or Orange Cassidy, as they clash tonight to see who will get the chance to take on Omega. Neither man has challenged for the AEW World Championship, but PAC has a win over Kenny Omega, and Orange Cassidy proved his potential when he beat Chris Jericho. Either way, Omega will not have an easy night at Double or Nothing.
Orange Cassidy Tries To End It Early
OC would lock eyes with PAC, before putting his sunglasses on PAC. PAC promptly broke them, and OC would nail Beach Break in response for a two count. He wouldn’t be able to win that easily, but PAC was sent to the outside and OC hit a hands free dive to the outside, before putting a second pair of glasses out from his pockets.
PAC was thrown into the barricade, before OC just threw him over the barricade. Back in the ring, OC was taken down and hit with some stomps, and would be driven into the corner face first. PAC drug OC to the outside, and drove him into the barricade hard twice. OC would be hit with a PK to the ear, before he’d have the knee of PAC driven into his throat.
PAC went up top, and hit a shotgun dropkick from the top rope, soaring all the way across the ring. OC was down, and PAC was looking for Black Arrow. PAC would instead go for another shotgun dropkick, before looking for the Black Arrow again. OC got up again, and took a third shotgun dropkick to the back of the neck.
PAC just went for a pinfall and got two, before once again going up top. OC rolled out of the way nonchalantly, and PAC stomped him out before once again going up top. This time, OC rolled under the corner, before finally picking up the pace and getting a two count off a roll up. PAC came back with a superkick and powerbomb, only getting a two count.
Kenny Omega Is Doing Everything He Can To Avoid PAC
OC would be kicked to the outside, and was given a chance to recover after being dropped on his neck. PAC took the chance to mouth off to the fans, before asking Aubrey Edwards to start counting. A count out gets him the same title match, but OC was able to get back into the ring. As soon as he was back in, PAC went for a pinfall and got two before going for a side headlock.
OC would struggle to his feet, and Aubrey Edwards called for a doctor to check on him. PAC once again soaked in the boo’s from the fans, as Don Callis hit the stage. Callis would ask if PAC was getting paid by the hour, and distracted the referee. Omega snuck into the ring and hit PAC with the AEW World Championship.
Both men were down, and the referee hit a ten count. It was a no contest, and Callis took this as a sign that Omega has no opponent for Double or Nothing. Tony Schiavone would come to the ramp, and inform Omega that he now faces both PAC & OC at Double Or Nothing!
