There are two different Nintendo Switches, one being the original Switch and the other being the Switch Lite. There is a long-rumoured third Switch dubbed the Switch Pro and rumoured name the Super Switch. The rumour may finally come true just before the E3 showcase.
Currently, we don’t have a confirmed date when Nintendo will appear at E3. But this new information is suggesting that we will see the reveal of the Nintendo Switch Pro before E3.
In the Bloomberg Report
The Bloomberg report also suggested the release date for this upcoming new model of Switch. That will be coming out around September-October. It will replace the currently normal Switch and will be released. If we look at how long the Wii U lasted before the Nintendo Switch came out, it’s around 1300 days between each console.
These numbers match how long the Switch has been out until this day, making it very likely that the new upcoming Switch could replace the current Switch model. It has also happened with the different variations of DS in the past.
Why would they do this before E3?
Some may think that announcing something this big should be saved for the E3 showcase. They could be doing this to have the whole E3 event focus more on video games. Nintendo Switch won’t have many games confirmed for 2021.
Making the upcoming showcase the event that should hopefully fill up the rest of the year for the Nintendo Switch and if there is a new Switch coming out. They will need a massive game to promote the upcoming variation of consoles.
