Hello and welcome back to OVW TV 1135 Results!
It’s great to be back, and we’re set to get to the action for Round One of the Country Boy Kentucky Heavyweight Championship Tournament with celebrity managers, so let’s go!
Round One Match – “The Complete Package” Tony Bizo w/ “The Apex Intellectual” Ricky Jones defeated “The Headliner” Chris Michaels w/Terry Meiners by pinfall
Michaels started it off giving Bizo all he could handle with his in your face style, but Bizo managed to turn the tables despite showboating.
Michaels gained control with some heavy blows and kicks, but walked into a Rock Bottom for a near pinfall.
Michaels locked in a crossface but Jones distracted the ref and Bizo his a Bizo Bomb TKO for the win and to move onto Round Two.
“Mr. Juicy in the Bank” Luscious Lawrence w/ “HollyHood” Haley J Defeated “Superior” Tony Evans by pinfall
Lawrence used some of his tricks face style to put Evans on his heels early on, and then a couple of atomic drops before hitting a One Night Stand Powerslam for the win.
The Good Word with Reverend Ronnie Roberts
He started off saying he entered the Country Boy Kentucky Tournament and when it comes to how rusty he is in the ring, he said it’s like riding a bike.
He said he’s the truth and the truth will set us free. He then introduced us to newly crowned OVW Heavyweight Champion Cash Flo with Josh Ashcraft.
Ashcraft fished through Roberts’ collection plate and took a gumball, then dropped in some money.
Cash started off by saying, “Let the reign of Brutality begin” and that a legacy comes whether we want it or not, and his legacy only smiles when gold is involved.
He called out Omar Amir and told him it doesn’t matter who he is or who he pretends to be and he’s not Cash Flo and no longer the OVW champion.
Omar Amir came out said it’s hilarious Cash is celebrating after cheating to win a total of three times.
He called Cash’s win an empty victory and said it’s in the past, and he’s there to demand a rematch for the OVW Heavyweight Championship.
Ashcraft pointed out he was stripped of the championship so he doesn’t have an automatic rematch.
Cash said they can have some fun, and told Amir he has to start from the bottom and work up to maybe get a title shot. He promised it won’t be easy or hard, but it will be brutal.
The rest of the Legacy of Brutality as Amir accepted, and a beat down followed.
Women’s Non Title Triple Threat – “HollyHood” Haley J w/Luscious Lawrence defeated Zoey Skye (pin) and Mickie Knuckles
Skye and Haley exchanged rights as Mickie took her time and nailed Skye with a shoulder to knock her across the ring, then hit Haley with a Fisherman’s Suplex for a pin attempt.
Definitely a fun way to start things and Mickie dominated Haley on the floor, and then broke a sleeper hold by Skye with a snapmare on the floor.
Skye made a fight of it, and Haley came into help out against Mickie and rolled through Skye’s crossbody off the top rope for the win.
This was a fun match and Mickie was really impressive. Can’t wait to see her continue growing,
Round One Match – Tony Gunn w/Richie Farmer defeated “The Iron Demon” Shane Mercer w/Vince Marrow by pinfall
This is going to be a great match, so let’s buckle up and grab some popcorn.
It started off pretty even until it got into a test of strength through shoulder blocks that Gunn hit and was knocked backwards.
This was the first time we saw Gunn dominated so thoroughly early on, but Mercer looked unbeatable as we headed to commercial.
We came back with Gunn making a comeback and getting the upper hand and landing several knees and rights and a released suplex.
They exchanged big hits and pin attempts before Gunn hit a knee and the Kill Shot for the win and move onto Round Two.
This was a fun show with some great moments. What did you think of it?
