Ikeman Jiro stole the hearts of the fanbase of fans of 205 Live with his debut match, where he teamed with August Grey to beat the duo of Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari. This week, we will get another look at Jiro & Grey as they take on two more 205 Live originals in Samir & Sunil Singh in tag team action. Will they start to build some steam as a tag team?
The Bollywood Boyz Look To Abuse Their Experience Edge
This week, Ikeman Jiro is wearing a blazer covered in watermelons, and no he will not be taking it off to wrestle. Grey started alongside Samir, and was taken down in the middle of the ring with a headlock. Samir was shoved off and taken down by Grey, but fought out with a headscissor.
Grey would get a pinfall attempt off a cradle, before Samir got a crucifix pin. They’d trade attempts in the middle of the ring, with Samir also tossing in some deep arm drags for good measure. Sunil got a tag, and Bollywood Boyz used the five second gap to double team Grey. Grey would sneak a tag to Jiro, who slapped Sunil across the face with a jacket covered hand.
Jiro would follow up with a moonsault from the middle rope, soaring halfway across the ring with ease. He’d get a two count, before getting a deep armdrag right into a submission. Sunil wasn’t giving up, so he’d drag him to the corner and allow Grey to take over. Grey set Sunil in the corner, but Samir made the save and Grey met the corner post off a spear.
Ikeman Jiro Is The Real Deal
With a limb to target, The Bollywood Boyz started to show their technical skills. An armbreaker on the arpon would do some serious damage to the left shoulder of Grey, before Sunil got a top wrist lock to apply pressure. Some quick tag team offense got a two count on Grey, before a now legal Samir got the pressure back on the shoulder.
Jiro would be unable to get a tag even when Grey had an opening, as Samir ran him down with a lariat. Grey would be saved by Jiro in the neutral corner, and would finally get the chance to make the tag. Jiro exploded into the ring, with some running forearm strikes, before some Blazer-covered palm strikes to the face.
Sunil would be dropped in the corner for a slingshot Arabian Press in the corner, getting a two count. Jiro went for a swanton bomb, but only found canvas when he reached the ground. Sunil nailed a running wheel kick, and Bollywood Boyz got a modified Hart Attack. Grey made the save and allowed Jiro to nail a superkick, set up the Ikeman Slash for the win.
A solid tag team match, but limited due to having a lack of a major heel threat for Jjiro & Grey to play off of. Bollywood Boyz simply didn’t do their role well enough to make this anything more than good, but Ikeman Jiro stole the show during his potions of the match. Match Rating: 3/5 (***)
