Ari Sterling was only the first man to make his debut on tonight’s episode of 205 Live. Also here is Ikeman Jiro, formerly of DDT Wrestling. He wanted to broaden his scope of professional wrestling, and now will get a chance to do so against the 205 Un-Welcoming committee, Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari. With August Grey in his corner, hopefully he’s able to get a big win here tonight to start his journey off right.
Ikeman Jiro Wrestles In Style!
Grey would be perplexed as Jiro didn’t want to take his jacket off, and he’d lock up with Nese after cartwheeling across the ring. Nese shoved Jiro into the corner but allowed the clean break before running him down with a shoulder tackle and popping back to his feet. Jiro slapped Nese with his hand hidden by his jacket, before tagging in Grey.
Nese was able to isolate Grey in his corner, before Daivari tagged in and punched Grey out. Grey was able to fire back on Daivari before taking a hard back elbow. He’d slip away and tag in Jiro who went to the top rope with a handstand before slapping his ankles. Daivari was caught by a jacket slap, before Nese was also caught by a bulldog.
Jiro was hit from behind, and Nese tagged in before stomping Jiro out. Daivari got a quick tag, and hit an elbow drop on Jiro for a two count. A sleeper hold was applied, and Jiro was fading. Nese tagged in and hit a neck snap on Jiro, a shotei to Grey and a basement dropkick to Jiro! This combo was ended by a headlock, which Jiro countered into a backdrop.
Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari Aren’t Going To Be Happy About Losing To Jiro
Grey got a tag, and he’d launch Daivari with a back bodydrop, before dropping Nese on the outside with a superkick. The rope walk crossbody got a two count on Daivari, before Grey looked for a tag, but Jiro was missing. Grey hit a spinning suplex to get another two count before looking for So Much Prettier. Nese caught the ankle of Grey to trip him up, got a tag and hit the springboard moonsault.
Jiro saved Grey from a double suplex, before Grey got superkicked. Nese took some heavy palm strikes from Jiro, but Daivari got him with a knee strike. Daivari & Nese hit a combination cutter, but Jiro broke the pinfall up at two. Grey would get Jiro the tag, and he’d nail a spinning heel kick and some hidden palm strikes, before sending Nese outside with a headscissor takedown.
Daivari rushed in and was sent outside as well, before Jiro hit a beautiful Asai moonsault where he stuck the landing. Nese was sent into the ring, and Jiro went up top for a swanton bomb, but Daivari made the save. Grey dove onto Daivari, and Jiro onto Nese. Back in the ring, Jiro nailed a running enziguri for the win.
Nese & Daivari are getting damn good as a tag team, but it’s hard to prepare for someone as unique as Ikeman Jiro. Jiro was an absolute star in this match, showing both his insane charisma, and solid as hell in-ring ability. The future of 205 Live is brighter with Jiro in the mix. Match Rating: 3.25/5 (*** 1/4)
