Pete Dunne has been claiming to be the baddest man that NXT has to offer for a while, with even someone like Karrion Kross scared to step up to him. After taking out KUSHIDA at NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver, he proved that he might be the best technical wrestler in NXT. However, to prove he’s the baddest man, he wanted to set up an open challenge and show that no one would step up.
Pete Dunne Shows The Leon Ruff Made A Mistake
When Dunne asked for an open challenge, a battle hungry Leon Ruff would rush in behind to hit Dunne and accept the challenge. Ruff would use his speed to move quickly around the ring, but once Dunne caught him and started to attack the arm? He was starting to regret this choice. Ruff would be able to get to his feet and use the ropes to run up the corner and hit a hurricanrana.
Dunne took Ruff down to the mat, before kicking away at the arm. His arm would end up tied up in the ropes, before Dunne slapped him across the head. This fired Ruff up, before he’d nail some quick kicks to the face of Dunne. Dunne came back with an enziguri, and Ruff hit a rebound lariat before looking for the springboard cutter in the corner. He’d be met with the anti-air forearm, before ending up in a triangle choke and pummeled with elbows to the skull. Dunne wins via referee stoppage, and snaps his fingers for good measure.
Meeting Hit Row, NXT’s New Problem
Elsewhere on NXT, we would see the debut of a new faction led by Isaish ‘Swerve’ Scott. He warned everyone that things might get real spooky here in NXT, as Hit Row hits the ring. Swerve would take a seat in the ring, and say that his big mistake in NXT was doing what the fans wanted. He’s not the man we saw for a bulk of his run, and now he’s got friends who match his savage nature. Francis is ex-NFL and is the powerhouse of the group both on the microphone and in size. They’re calling him Top-Dolla, because he’s money.
Anyone who watches 205 Live knows how good Adonis is, one of the fastest rising rookies in NXT. Being in this group should just make him even better, as he has someone like Swerve to learn from now. Not much is known about B-FAB, but considering her company, the NXT Women’s division might need to keep an eye out. All together, Hit Row is gonna run NXT in the coming months, and it could be hard to stop them.
Will Pete Dunne keep his winning ways going? Who will Hit Row target first? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
