Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re set for what could be a fun episode as Apollo Crews defends his Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Four Way against Big E, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens.
Plus, we’ll get to see if the Tribal Thief, er, Chief, Roman Reigns, can hold things together or will Jimmy Uso continue giving him a world class headed?
We’ll be back to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at the 8 p.m. EST showtime, so grab some snacks and settle in.
Sonya Deville held a Parade of Champions that Heyman said was for title holders, not a real champion like Roman Reigns.
Bayley interrupted and called out Dominik Mysterio for riding Rey’s coat tails, and then Belair.
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax jumped Belair with Bayley, and Tamina and Natalya tired to help but were overpowered.
Guess we’re having a 6 woman tag match after the commercial break.
Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Bayley vs. Bianca Belair, Natalya, and Tamina
The match had already started during the commercial break with Tamina taking a beating before Natalya took her turn.
Belair took out all three of her opponents on the floor with a crossbody from the top rope but appeared to hurt her knee as we headed to commercial.
After a flourish of finishers, Baszler locked in the Coquina Clutch on Natalya to win the match,
Aleister Black gave us another chapter about how we’re all loethsome and blind because we live with pride in our sins and denial and he’s here to cull the herd.
The match was started during the commercial but was pretty decent.
Rick Boogs played Nakamura‘s theme song to distract Corbin, and Nakamura slipped out of an End of Days to roll Corbin up for the pin.
Reigns came out but he’s too humble to talk about himself, so a drooling Paul Heyman listed his accomplishments like scaring the Fiend to Raw and retiring Daniel Bryan.
Cesaro came out with a sling on his right arm and challenged Reigns to a match at HIAC, but Seth Rollins attacked him from behind and hit two Stomps.
Dominik Mysterio w/Rey Mysterio vs. Robert Roode w/Dolph Ziggler
This was a quick one and despite Roode dominating throughout, Dominik hit a 619 and a frog splash after Roode hit the ring post.
This felt rushed and as predictable as anything on this episode yet.
Roman Reigns seemed to give his blessing to Jey Uso joining Jimmy next week against the Street Profits, but it was mostly mumbled, so we just heard him say selfish and something about representing the family.
Guess he gave his blessing?
Fatal 4 Way Intercontinental Championship – Apollo Crews (c) w/Commander Azeez vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Big E
This started off with everyone pairing off – Owen and Zayn, Big E and Crews.
Big E beat Zayn and Crews on the apron, then hit a splash on them both before Owen hit him with a moonsault over the top rope as we headed to commercial.
The action continued as Owens and Zayn had a couple of attempts but the pins were broken up.
Crews hit an Olympic slam on Owens on the ring apron, and Big E hit a diving spear on Crews through the ropes as we headed to commercial.
It was a great match that ended when Aleister Black came out and hit Big E with a Black Mass for Crews to cover him.
This was just a bad ending, and Black’s appearance made no sense. Maybe if the WWE didn’t relay on something like this for nearly every big match it’s have an impact?
Overall the show was okay and about what we expected. What did you think of it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Live Results.
We had a great time hanging out and can’t wait to see you all again next week.
See you then!
