At Double Or Nothing 2021, Darby Allin teamed with Sting to defeat Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky in tag team action. However, Page & Sky aren’t done with Allin just yet. They’re in his head, and by saying that he only got the win at Double Or Nothing due to Sting doing all the hard work, they’ve been able to provoke Allin. A challenge was set for a tag team match, where Allin simply had to find another partner. Allin instead has chosen to go at it alone, in a handicap match.
Darby Allin Gets Brutalized
Page would start the match for The Men Of The Year, but after Darby took him down, he’d tag in Sky. Sky would take a drop toehold, and Allin went for a Coffin Drop off the ropes and was caught by Page. Allin slipped free, before hitting a double springboard coffin drop on both men. Page tagged in and finally took Allin down with a shoulder tackle.
Allin was almost thrown into the front row by Page, but slipped out of the Military Press Slam for a rear naked choke. Page would counter, and whip Allin into the corner. Sky tagged in and stomped Allin out in the corner. Men of The Year took control as expected, but Allin countered Egos edge into a roll up for a two count before taking a big boot to the face.
Sky would stomp Allin out in the middle of the ring, before Page kicked Allin right in the ribs and hit a big backbreaker. Another backbreaker came from Sky, then another from Page soon after. It was a simple way to run a match, but it worked. They could have won the match at any point, but were enjoying punishing Allin.
Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky Get More Than They Bargained For
Allin got a two count off an inside cradle, and Page mocked his lack of partner before going for a backbreaker and being countered into the Scorpion Death Drop. Sky would get a tag, and Allin tagged himself in for a hot tag. He’d take out Page on the apron and hit a Code Red on Sky for a two count before Page planted him in the ring.
Page would have his feet zip tied by Allin as the referee was distracted, turning this into a one on one. He’d hit a stunner on Sky and nail the Coffin Drop for the near fall, but Page pulled him out of the ring. Page got a tool to free himself, and Allin was thrown into the ring post.
Back in the ring, Page set up a superplex, and Allin did his best to fight free. He’d bite the hand of Page, and hit a headbutt before looking for a Coffin Drop. Sky tripped him up, and Page hit Egos Edge for the win.
