Last week, Kenny Omega claimed he was all out of challengers for his AEW World Championship, having defeated Jon Moxley, PAC, Rey Fenix, Jungle Boy, and Orange Cassidy. However, he was confronted by The Dark Order, who reminded him that he never defended against Hangman Page. Omega claimed Page didn’t have the guts, but would that change this week.
Hangman Page Confronts Kenny Omega
Omega would be joined down to the ring by Don Callis, who was greeted with a “You got fired!” chant in regards to actions in Impact Wrestling. Callis would run down the opponents that Omega beat in AEW, and Evil Uno and the Dark Order would once again interrupt to a massive reaction.
Uno would have some questions. He’s ask why they’re ignoring the crowd, the #1 ranked wrestler in AEW, and why he’s ignoring his friend Hangman Page. Omega would just ask some trivia questions like “What’s the capital of Thailand” before kicking Uno low. The Elite would rush the Dark Order, and it wasn’t until the music of Hangman Page hit that Omega was concerned.
Page ran down Gallows & Anderson, before staring down Omega. Instead of going for the buckshot, he’d stare down his old tag team partner, and it’s clear that Page does have the guts, and Omega has some serious trouble ahead.
Ethan Page Wants To End The Career Of Darby Allin
We were supposed to see a casket match tonight between Ethan Page & Darby Allin. Page made the challenge, and was ready to exploit a beaten down and injured Allin, but when Allin got some damage on Page last week by clawing at his eyes? The match would be postponed by Page. Instead this week, both men will sit down with wrestling legend Jim Ross for some interviews.
Ross would be concerned that both men want to end each others careers, and wanted to know how they got there. Allin would say that in his first year of wrestling, he was in the same spot as Page after 12 years. Page was just jealous that Allin got as far as him, and then even to got AEW first.
Allin got there first, but Page claims that he jumped the line. He used the experience he gained from facing Page. Without Page, he wouldn’t get this far. He brought him into the business, and will take him out in next week’s coffin match.
