In the eyes of many fans, Naomi is one of the most underrated women on the WWE roster. She’s had a few short reigns as Smackdown Women’s Champion, but has never been treated as a big deal in the women’s division. This is despite some major fan support. However, things are starting to look up as she has been moved back to Smackdown Live.
Naomi Being Moved To Smackdown Live Could Reignite Her Career
Naomi has been on Monday Night RAW since 2020, and really hasn’t done much of note on the roster. She was rumored to join The Hurt Business, but that never panned out. Part of this was due to an injury, which kept her away from the ring starting in September 2020 and having her return at the 2021 Royal Rumble. Besides a short lived tag team with Lana that got her onto Night One of Wrestlemania 37, it hasn’t been good.
Now following Money In The Bank 2021, where she failed to claim the briefcase, she’s been moved over to Smackdown Live once again. This is a promising move for a few reasons. Firstly, it puts her on the same roster as her husband, current Smackdown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso. Secondly, this means she could be the next member of The Bloodline faction, which currently holds half the gold on the brand.
Joining Roman Reigns & The Usos Would Push Her To The Top
Naomi could be pushed as a top name and a worthy contender for the current Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair. Even besides Belair, there are fresh matches aplenty with Toni Storm, Tegan Nox, and Shotzi Blackheart joining the Smackdown roster. Working alongside Roman Reigns in his current run would allow her to gain attention and enter a prominent role.
Fans have just been wanting to see Naomi let loose, and get to show off her talents within the ring. She’s young, athletic, and has maintained a massive fanbase despite being mishandled by WWE in recent years. This could be her chance to finally get that push, provided WWE finally gives her the chance.
