Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
Tonight looks like it could be a decent show, so let’s get to the action.
After a recap of his latest return last week, Edge opened the show by coming out to the ring.
Of course, Edge started with WrestleMania supposed to be his day ten years to the day after he had to vacate the WWE Championship.
He knew it’d happen, and then it didn’t. That wasn’t in his plan and vision and it rocked him, so he took some time and he even watched the match and he never does that.
He then mentioned how Roman Reigns neglects to mention some things, like how Bryan kept Reigns from submitting to his cross face and then breaking the pin.

In short, he could complain about all of those things and he’d be justified as 2006 Edge would’ve. But in 2021 there’s always going to be excuses and obstacles and he’s knocked obstacles down his entire life.
He added that now that he’s been in the ring with Reigns one on one he knows he can beat him, and Reigns knows it as well.
He said he’s in Reigns’ head for life, and last week the look on his face proved to Edge that he’s got Reigns’ number and he’s going to beat him and be the Universal Champion.
Backstage, Jimmy Uso told Paul Heyman that he knows he heard Edge, and then asked that he didn’t really hear that.
He promised he’s got Reigns’ back just like Reigns has his and when Reigns gets there, they’ll stamp their family plan in the middle of Edge’s heart when Reigns.
Shinsuke Nakamura w/Rick Boogs and Big E vs. Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews w/Commander Azeez
With everyone in the ring, Corbin came out during his introduction looking depressed after losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in bad investments, and the ring announcer started introducing him as King, but caught himself.

Crews and Nakamura started it off with mutual shoulder blocks, and Crews leveled him on his next attempt.
Nakamura caught Crews and hit a knee before tagging in Big E and Big E locked in an abdominal stretch and went for a pin attempt.
Crews got loose and tagged in a dejected Corbin and Big E knocked Corbin to the floor with a right. Big E followed him to the floor and Corbin leveled him with a clothesline and threw him into the time keeper’s area as we went to commercial.
Back from the commercial break, they’re back in the ring with Corbin hammering on Big E with elbows and locking in a neck hold and then hit an elbow off the ropes for a pin attempt.

Crews tagged in and hit a dropkick and slapped on a front face lock to wear Big E down, but Big E fought out of it and ate a step up kick for his troubles.
Corbin nailed a from slam for a pin attempt that Nakamura broke up, and Crews took Nakamura to the floor while Corbin kept after Big E.
Boogs called out that Corbin’s car was being repossessed to distract him as it showed on the titantron.
Big E took advantage to hit the Big Ending for the win.
This was just… Yeah. Corbin then broke down crying in the ring. WWE Smackdown Results have been wondering how the WWE would handle this storyline. Guess now we know.
