Since Trent? fell to an injury, The Best Friends have brought in Wheeler Yuta to stand in his place and go under their learning tree. Tonight, he will team with Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy to take on Matt Hardy & Private Party of the Hardy Family Office. Can Yuta help to push The Best Friends towards a big win? Before the match got started, we’d hear that The Butcher is expected back soon.
Orange Cassidy Just Wants His Hands In His Pockets
Matt Hardy would start up with Orange Cassidy, and refuse to let OC put his hands in the pockets. Hardy started a delete chant, before getting his hand put in the pocket of OC. OC would take a Side Effect, but rolled lazily away from the leg drop. Hardy rushed in and hit the opposite corner, where OC fell off the bottom rope for a body press.
Isaiah Kassidy would tag in and take the vicious low kicks from OC before Wheeler Yuta jumped in. Chuck Taylor nailed a Sole Food, before Wheeler Yuta nailed a driver for a two count. Private Party nailed The Silly String, but only got a two count. They’d get Yuta on the outside and beat his face off the apron. He’d be isolated in the wrong part of the ring, and would be hit with a trios senton combo for a two count.
Yuta would nail a double missile dropkick to Private Party, before The Bunny pulled OC off the apron. Kris Statlander would come to the aid of OC before being run down by Nyla Rose. Jack Evans would punch OC out, but they all forgot about Chuckie T, who tagged in and started taking everyone out. A big flapjack and a pop-up powerbomb would crush Private Party, before OC nailed the tornado DDT on Hardy.
Taylor would plant Quen with a uranage, and Yuta nailed a diving splash for a two count. He’d hit a German Suplex on Quen, but had missed a blind tag to Kassidy, who dove in with a Swanton Bomb. Yuta would be dropped with Gin & Juice, but OC broke the pin up and uncorked some Orange Punches. Matt Hardy finally hit a Twist Of Fate for the win, after taking care of OC.
This match was fine, but suffered from being on the same card as The Elite vs. Sydals & Dante Martin. Everyone played their roles fine, and gave a solid match that kept the fans attention. Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4)
After this match, we’d get an answer to the challenge from earlier in the night of PAC to Andrade El Idolo. The match is now set, and will come at All Out. Who will win this huge singles match? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
