Legado Del Fantasma had some time in the spotlight when Santos Escobar was the NXT Cruiserweight Champion, but now they lack any type of gold. Meanwhile, Hit Row has burst onto the scene and leader Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott has taken the NXT North American Championship for himself. This envy for gold from Legado Del Fantasma has blown up into a faction war, and tonight their tag team options will clash as Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza take on Ashante Adonis & Top Dolla.
A Hard Hitting Grudge Match
This fight nearly broke out before the bell, and as soon as it rung Hit Row dashed in and took LDF out of the ring with ease. Adonis & Mendoza would start the match off properly, slugging it out in the middle of the ring. Mendoza was thrown into the corners hard, before firing off some chops.
Adonis nailed a quick DDT and set up a crossbody off the top rope, before crashing and burning. Wilde would tag in, only to take a neckbreaker before being thrown into the Hit Row corner. Top Dolla tagged in, and flaunted his absurd power edge as he lifted Wilde above his head and walked around with ease.
Wilde was put up on the top rope and tossed across the ring, before tagging in Adonis. Fighting his way out, Wilde tried for a hurricanrana on Top Dolla, only for Adonis to nail a perfectly timed dropkick. A big flapjack dropped Wilde, as Escobar would distract everyone allowing Mendoza & Wilde to take Adonis to the outside as a commercial break came along.
Hit Row Doesn’t Know What Quitting Means
Back from the break, Legado Del Fantasma remained in control, isolating Adonis far away from Top Dolla. Whenever he got near escape, a tag was made and a fresh man would run him down. Again and again they nailed lariats, before a double suplex and lionsault got a two count.
Adonis would fight back as he dodged a shining wizard, and nailed the Air Drop to get the space. Top Dolla dashed in and ran right through Wilde, before nailing a one armed Sidewalk Slam before going for an elbow drop, but taking a steel chair to the back from Escobar.
The match was thrown out, and Legado Del Fantasma would take down Hit Row piece by piece to leave them laying. A chair was placed around the neck of Swerve and would be stomped, but Top Dolla made the save just in time before B-Fab nailed a chair shot, and Hit Row would stand tall in the end.
A solid tag team grudge match, with a great brawl to close it out. This feud is just getting started, and has already been fantastic. Match Rating: 3/5 (***)
