It’s time for one last ride from FTR potentially. The last time they competed, it was against Santana & Ortiz, in a match which saw Cash Wheeler seriously injure his arm. With nerve damage and issues using his hand, that’s the type of injury that can make a man hang up his boots; but not without revenge. Tonight, they all step back into the ring, for the rematch everyone has been waiting for.
FTR Are Geared Up To Prove They’re Alright
FTR would pay tribute to the late great Bobby Eaton in this match, with their tights. Harwood & Santana would start the match, with Harwood getting two headlock takeovers. A third would finally keep Santana down for a few moments, before Santana would get free and start throwing some hard chops. After a brief exchange, Santana would drop Harwood with a shoulder tackle, before they’d both go for hip tosses.
This led to a stalemate, before Ortiz got in, a brawl broke out, and Santana & Ortiz dove over the top rope. On the outside, they’d nail The Streetsweeper against the barricade, before getting Harwood getting back in the ring. Ortiz would get the tag, but during a backdrop attempt would miss a tag to Wheeler.
Wheeler snuck into the ring and threw Ortiz into the shoulder posts twice, as FTR really started to take control of this match. They are experts at cutting the ring in half, and Harwood would stomp away at the left arm of Ortiz before applying an armbar. Ortiz would fight to his feet as Wheeler quickly pulled a turnbuckle pad off.
Santana & Ortiz Hold On To Get The Win
Harwood would bend the arm of Ortiz around exposed steel, before trying to slam his face first into it. He’d resist and nail a dropkick, and after Wheeler tagged in, take him down as well. Santana & Harwood would get tags, but Santana was fresh as ever. Some suplexes would follow, with Harwood getting the three amigos. The frog splash would follow, but wouldn’t get a three count.
Ortiz got the tag to nail a combo cutter before a German Suplex from Santana got a two count, Wheeler making the save. Harwood would survive a roll up attempt from Ortiz, and managed to hit a brainbuster – but it wasn’t enough to get the win this time. Another brainbuster attempt would follow, with Santana making the save with the running spear.
Wheeler would be hit with a double flapjack, but Harwood would prevent Santana & Ortiz from hitting the super piledriver. A Gory Bomb would follow, but Ortiz held on. FTR set up the Powerplex, but Santana delayed it. Ortiz dodged the splash, but took The Big Rig with Santana making the save. Sanata nailed a rolling cutter before another double flapjack for the win.
This puts the record to 1-1. Will we see a third and final match soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
