Ridge Holland might be the scariest man in all of NXT right now. He’s backed up by Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch & Pete Dunne – while also being the size of a barge. His power and aggression alone will get him far, but tonight he will once again show that he’s more than just a heavy hitter. He could just be a few wins away from an NXT Championship match, and tonight will be another step.
Kyle O’Reilly Is Out Of The Main Event – Von Wagner In
Holland already got some action earlier in the night, helping Pete Dunne beat down Kyle O’Reilly backstage. He didn’t bother bringing Lorcan, Burch & Dunne to ringside, knowing he doesn’t need them for wins. We’d get an update from William Regal before this match, with Kyle O’Reilly now out of the main event.
It’s still a Fatal Four Way, with the man who saved O’Reilly in his place. Von Wagner! This is the former Cal Bloom, a second generation wrestler. He was touted as a top prospect in WWE, and will be thrown right into the fire tonight. This could be the fastest route to an NXT Championship win in history, and a major chance for Wagner.
The Creed Brothers Claim Another Set Of Heads
Drake Maverick was the opponent of Holland, who had Grayson Waller in his corner. Holland had no issues throwing him around. Maverick took a forearm to the nose, but kept on fighting. Holland would hit a headbutt, and it might as well have been called there. Northern Grit landed, and Holland got the win.
Another match that wasn’t expected to be long was up next. Last week, The Creed Brothers made their debut and tore two nameless men apart. Tonight with the backing of Diamond Mine once again, they looked to destroy. Before this match, we’d get a vignette for Tony D’Angelo, who seemed to have a mobster gimmick.
Brutus would start and just throw his opponent out of the ring. He’d go after them after backing their partner up with a stare. Brutus would throw them into each other, and Julius got in to slam two men into each other. A gutwrench bomb onto the ropes, and an underhook suplex would do some damage, and Julius forced a tag. The T-Bone Suplex dropped him before a basement lariat for the win.
After the match, KUSHIDA would confront Diamond Mine – and say he’s ready for Strong now. Next week, we get a match over the Cruiserweight Championship. Can Roderick Strong defeat KUSHIDA? Will The Creed Brothers soon be tag team champions? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
