Ever since Jeff Hardy was released from WWE, wrestling fans have known what comes next. Matt Hardy is ready to reunite with his brother, and bring back one of the greatest tag teams of all time. The Hardy Boys are coming back, with their first announced match coming later this year in May.
MCW Pro Wrestling Have Booked The Hardy Boys, AEW Debut Is A Matter Of When, Not If
Fans of MCW Pro Wrestling will get a big surprise on May 15th, as The Hardy Boys are now set to compete at MCW Spring Fever. This marks the first time they’ve been advertised since the release of Jeff Hardy from his WWE contract. His non-compete clause goes until March, which will keep him away from AEW for a few more weeks atleast.
Right now, his AEW debut is fairly set up – with Andrade potentially taking over the Hardy Family Office faction. Private Party are potentially going to be the first opponents of Matt & Jeff Hardy in AEW. Making things even better, their iconic theme song is a royalty free track – meaning AEW can bring out Jeff Hardy using some recognizable music.
Jeff Hardy Returning To The Ring Was All The Was Left Up In The Air
The future of Jeff Hardy in the ring was all that was left up in the air, but now that a return is confirmed, it’s only a matter of time before he’s signed to AEW. While some fans have expressed some disinterest in The Hardys in AEW, they’re a vocal minority at best. AEW has shown they know how to use legacy acts like The Hardy Boys, and signing Jeff opens up too many big money matches to not to bring him in.
Already we’ve seen reDRagon express interest in wrestling the Hardy Boys, and matches with Private Party, FTR, Lucha Bros and Young Bucks all will bring in some viewers for AEW. It’s very possible we see a resurgence in popularity for this iconic tag team once they hit AEW, which will only help the company’s rapid growth.
