At Wrestling Dontaku, United Empire will defend the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against two teams. However while they are in the United States, Bishamon will take on Bad Luck Fale in an ordinary tag team match. This is a great chance to get some damage in for both teams, potentially allowing them to focus on Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb on May 1st.
BULLET CLUB Strikes First And Hands Bishamon Their Second Tag Team Loss Of 2022
Fale & Owens would strike fast before the bell, sending YOSHI-HASHI out of the ring – and allowing them to beat Goto down into the middle of the ring. YOSHI-HASHI would be able to trip Fale up from the floor, allowing Goto a chance to get his footing – but this one would quickly spill to the outside, with Goto thrown into the barricade.
Back into the ring, Owens & Fale would press their advantage in the corner, inflicting as much damage as possible on Goto. Owens would get a near fall off a lariat, before applying a rear chinlock in the centre of the ring. Goto would finally find an opening to make a comeback – and with the aid of YOSHI-HASHI was able to cut Fale down.
Fale was tripped onto Owens – before YOSHI-HASHI & Goto jumped onto the pile. Owens would get back to his feet, and nailed a C-Trigger and Last Shot for a near fall on YOSHI-HASHI. Bishamon would look to set up Shoto for a quick victory, but Owens was able to kick his way to freedom.
The referee was dropped by BULLET CLUB, and Goto tried to use his bo-staff to take advantage, but instead dropped YOSHI-HASHI. Goto was dropped with the Grenade Launcher, before YOSHI-HASHI was taken out with the Rocket Launcher Elbow drop for the victory.
Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito Are Set For Another Singles Clash Very Soon
Tetsuya Naito & Kazuchika Okada are set for their third singles encounter of the year on May 1st – with both men having one win in singles apiece in 2022. Tonight they test each other in trios action, with Naito bringing BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi to the battle, with Okada having Toru Yano & YOH by his side tonight.
YOH would opt to start this match – and called out his opponent for Dontaku – Hiromu Takahashi. These two would clash in the middle of the ring, exchanging strikes and showing their speed, before YOH gained control and made the tag out to Yano. A corner pad would quickly be removed and used as a weapon, before YOH found his way back into the match. Takahashi would fight back, pressuring YOH into thie L.I.J corner before making a tag to BUSHI. BUSHI would beat YOH down – before Naito looked at a submission victory using a grounded full nelson.
YOH found the bottom rope and a tag to Okada – who would meet BUSHI in the ring with a DDT for a near fall. Naito would enter the ring against Okada – only to end up locked in the Money Clip. Okada lost control of the hold, but levelled Naito with a big boot. Yano hit the ring and was unable to fling Naito into the exposed corner.
MX from BUSHI into a Jackknife Pin from Naito got L.I.J a very flashy victory here tonight. After the bell, Naito hit a low blow and Destino to drop Okada – perhaps a sign of things to come.
