T.J. Miller has revealed that he has resolved his differences with Deadpool co-star Ryan Reynolds.
T.J. Miller Has Resolved His Dispute With Deadpool Co-Star Ryan Reynolds After Initially Claiming He Wouldn’t Ever Work With Him Again
Miller, for his part, recently claimed that he would never work with the actor again after having experienced a negative encounter on the set of the film.
This was on the basis that Reynolds had allegedly been mean to him during the shooting of a particular scene. He expanded on how he was put in an uncomfortable position, as Reynolds had treated him like his character of the bartender Weasel.
In his comments at the time, Miller said: “As the character, he was horrifically mean to me as if I’m Weasel. So he was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough.”
That forced Reynolds to respond to clear up any misunderstanding that may have emerged. The actor reached out to Miller via email, and after having had a frank discussion, Miller was delighted to admit that they had put this behind them.
He did not reveal the exact nature of the conversation, but at the very least, it does appear sincere on Ryan’s part. And yet, it is possible to question Ryan’s response.
First of all, it could be argued that if he was really sincere, then he would have called Miller directly. After all, it is not out of the realms of possibility that perhaps someone from his team may have written the email.
Secondly, who is to say that Ryan was doing this genuinely. It could equally have been seen as a way for him to save face. Regardless of what the case may have been, Miller has been left satisfied with the response.
The following comments confirmed as much: “It was very cool for him to say, ‘Hey, you know, I just heard on the show that you were upset about this…I kind of said, ‘You know, I’m not,’ and then we sort of just hashed it out.”
