When the show aired, people were curious about what Meghan Markle had to say. That’s why the popularity of the show sky-rocketed and even outperformed the all-time favorite ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.
Meghan Markle Podcast Archetypes Is A Fail – Latest Episode Drops In Charts To 77th Place
However, the run has been good, but very short for Meghan Markle. The latest episode of the podcast is not doing that great. It pushed the podcast down to the low 77th place as of this Tuesday.
The most recent episode featuring Jameela Jamil and Shohreh Aghdashloo is the worst episode of Archetypes according to views charts. The Duchess is only 10 episodes deep in podcasting and already dropped from the first page of most popular podcasts. I mean, you realize the low rank of the podcast when you find out that an 8 hour of relaxing baby music song surpasses its popularity.
Meghan Markle’s Archetypes was a good prospect for a podcast. At least that’s what Spotify advertised. When it aired for the first time, the first episode overcame the popularity of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and appeared in first place on the list. Now, it is down to the 22nd place in the USA chart. Quite interestingly, it is in 25th place on the UK’s podcasts chart.
Each Tuesday, Meghan Markle surprises her audience by airing a new episode. The guests for each episode are unknown until the day when the episode airs.
Back in September, there were rumors that Spotify fabricated the success of the Archetypes podcast. In other words that would mean that Spotify put Meghan Markle in the first place in order to attract as much audience as possible. It was their way of putting the podcast on a stand where more people would see it. The rumors were that Spotify does that in order to raise the popularity of the podcast, so they can justify the money they’ve spent on it.
Meghan Markle and her podcast were at first place in England, the USA, Australia, and every other place where English is the main language. To be frank, Meghan Markle put more effort into the making of the first episodes. They featured far more popular people than the more recent ones. The first episode featured Serena Williams. Mariah Carrey followed right after her.
It won’t be a surprise if Spotify fabricated the rankings in Archetypes’ favor. The rankings were strange. The individual episodes were not doing so well as their rankings were far below The Joe Rogan Experience ones. However, When you’d look at the podcast rankings as a whole, Archetypes was above Joe Rogan.
