Charlie Sheen had been missing from television for most of the last decade. Now he’s returning to the small screen to star in Ramble On, a drama-comedy from Doug Ellin.

The show will also star Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillion, stars of Ellin’s popular HBO series Entourage. In the show, Connolly and Dillion play themselves as they basically do damage control for seasoned actors and new faces who could use the help.
Stars who will make appearances include Charlie Sheen’s father Martin Sheen, Mark Cuban, Jamie-Lynn Sigler of The Sopranos, and Bre-Z of All American and Empire to name just a few.
The filming of the pilot episode finished earlier this week. The pilot for Ramble On was financed and produced by Ellin and investor Ted Foxman’s Angry Lunch studio in association with Action Park Media. Action Park also produces the podcast Victory the Podcast, co-hosted by Ellin and Dillion.
At the moment, Ellin and Foxman are looking for interested networks and other means to distribute the show. In a statement, Ellin said:
“I feel beyond grateful that so many of my Entourage crew and cast members, along with some of the most talented, comedic forces in the industry, have joined us on this exciting new journey. We cannot wait to share this with the world.”
As for Charlie Sheen, this show marks four years since he was blacklisted in Hollywood as a result of sexual assault allegations involving the late Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. According to the two, those incidents occurred during the late 1980s. It also marks almost eight years since he was a star or regular cast member of a television show.
