Jimmy Uso Cleared To Return To Canada Ahead Of WWE Elimination Chamber

We are just a few short days away from WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 – which is already shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the year. Taking place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada all but ensures a packed and loud crowd, especially with the main event of Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns planned. This is set to potentially be the final chapter in the ongoing and highly praised storyline involved Zayn & The Bloodline – which also includes Paul Heyman, Jimmy & Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa. However, it seemed unclear if Jimmy would be at the event.

Jimmy Uso Was Limited In Travel Options Following DUI’s

Over his life, Jimmy Uso has made the choice to drink and drive, leading to a second DUI in 2019. Due to this, his ability to travel outside of the United States has been limited – including coming to Canada. However, ahead of Elimination Chamber – Dave Meltzer noted that he was told that both Jimmy & Jey Uso are expected to be on hand at Elimination Chamber.

Jimmy Uso was last in Canada for the April 15th, 2019 episode of Monday Night RAW – which was prior to his latest DUI. WWE likely has been working since then to get Uso cleared to return to the country, given the prominence of The Usos in the tag team division, and the popularity of WWE within Canada. While it’s mostly live events that come to Canada, major events like Summerslam 2019 and Elimination Chamber 2023 prove there is a large demand for PPV events.

More Drama Added Into Sami Zayn vs Roman Reigns

What this means for the match between Zayn & Reigns, is that Reigns will be at full power at this event – with Jimmy Usos, Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman to rely upon to ensure Sami Zayn does not claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Jey Uso will be playing the role of the wildcard, with his friendship with Sami Zayn being noted on Smackdown Live – when they would share a moment backstage.

This will simply just add to the drama of what could be of the biggest matches WWE holds in 2023. Without Jimmy Uso in the mix, there was more reason to doubt Reigns – but now we know The Bloodline can pull out all the stops at Elimination Chamber, further reducing the chances of a Zayn victory… or amplifying the response of the fans if he wins.
