Britney Spears has called on her fellow celebrity stars to speak out against any abuse.

Britney’s conservatorship victory means that she is no longer under the control of her father, Jamie Spears. As such, she is able to make financial decisions independently, and she has chosen this time to call out all those who had made her life a misery.
And yet, this was only the start. Britney has also criticised those who refused to speak, knowing that Britney’s claims have been proven true.
This included a dig at musician Christina Aguilera who refused to confirm whether she had spoken to Britney following her victory. She had reportedly said: “No, we’re not doing that today. I’m sorry. I can’t, but I’m happy for her!”
In response, Britney felt that these actions were tantamount to suggesting that she was lying. As such, Britney wants to encourage an environment where people are not afraid to speak out for fear of being cancelled.
And she hopes that her example can be the first to show people that it is ok to question power. She added: “Refusing to speak when you know the truth is equivalent to a lie!!!
“13 years being in a corrupt, abusive system, yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about??? I’m the one who went through it!!!”
But through it all, Britney has managed to have the support of her fan base. She previously acknowledged that the rise of the #FreeBritneyMovement was a critical part of her court victory.
After all, had it not been for the huge social media influence that it created, Britney may not have had the courage to continue with her case.
That is why she thanked those who were there for her. She continued: “All the supporters who spoke up and supported me, thank you… Yes, I do matter!!!!!”
Time will tell whether we see other stars speaking out, but one thing for sure is that Britney’s story shows it is possible to do it. And that is something that she should be commended for.
